मेघानां पश्य मद्देहे दुर्नयं करकोत्करैः ॥ ये छादयंत्यनुगते मयूरांश्चातकांस्तथा ॥ १६ ॥
See the wickedness perpetrated by the clouds on my body. They are pelting it with hailstones. But they cover and protect the peacocks and Cātakas who are their followers.
english translation
meghAnAM pazya maddehe durnayaM karakotkaraiH ॥ ye chAdayaMtyanugate mayUrAMzcAtakAMstathA ॥ 16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिखसारंगयोर्दृष्ट्वा मित्रादपि पराभवम् ॥ हर्षं गच्छंति गिरिशं विदूरमपि मानसम् ॥ १७ ॥
On seeing the distress of peacocks and deer from even their friend (sun), the swans go even to the distant Mānasa lake on the top of the mountain.
english translation
zikhasAraMgayordRSTvA mitrAdapi parAbhavam ॥ harSaM gacchaMti girizaM vidUramapi mAnasam ॥ 17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन्विषमे काले नीलं काकाश्चकोरकाः ॥ कुर्वंति त्वां विना गेहान् कथं शांतिमवाप्स्यसि ॥ ॥ १८ ॥
In this troublesome time, even crows and Cakora birds build their nests. But you don’t. Without a home how will you be happy?
english translation
etasminviSame kAle nIlaM kAkAzcakorakAH ॥ kurvaMti tvAM vinA gehAn kathaM zAMtimavApsyasi ॥ ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहतीवाद्य नो भीतिर्मा मेघोत्था पिनाकधृक् ॥ यतस्व यस्माद्वासाय माचिरं वचनान्मम ॥ १९ ॥
O Pināka-bearer Śiva, let not the great fear originating from clouds befall us. Hence endeavour for a residence. Do not delay. Heed my words.

mahatIvAdya no bhItirmA meghotthA pinAkadhRk ॥ yatasva yasmAdvAsAya mAciraM vacanAnmama ॥ 19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकैलासे वा हिमाद्रौ वा महाकाश्यामथ क्षितौ ॥ तत्रोपयोग्यं संवासं कुरु त्वं वृषभध्वज ॥ 2-2-22-२० ॥
O bull-emblemed God, either in Kailāsa or in the Himālayas or in Mahākāśī on the earth you make a befitting habitation.

kailAse vA himAdrau vA mahAkAzyAmatha kSitau ॥ tatropayogyaM saMvAsaM kuru tvaM vRSabhadhvaja ॥ 2-2-22-20 ॥
