प्रारोहंतीह सस्यानि मंदिरं प्राङ्गणेष्वपि ।। किमन्यत्र विरूपाक्ष सस्यौद्भूतिं वदाम्यहम् ।। ११ ।।

O odd-eyed Śiva, here even in the courtyards of the temples, plants grow; need I mention the growth of plants elsewhere?

english translation

prArohaMtIha sasyAni maMdiraM prAGgaNeSvapi || kimanyatra virUpAkSa sasyaudbhUtiM vadAmyaham || 11 ||

श्यामलै राजतैरक्तैर्विशदोयं हिमाचलः ।। मंदराश्रयमेघौघः पत्रैर्दुग्धांबुधिर्यथा ।।१२।।

With the clusters of clouds dark, silvery and red in colour clinging to the Mandara mountain (peak), Himālaya appears as the ocean of milk with the birds of diverse colours.

english translation

zyAmalai rAjatairaktairvizadoyaM himAcalaH || maMdarAzrayameghaughaH patrairdugdhAMbudhiryathA ||12||

असमश्रीश्च कुटिलं भेजे यस्याथ किंशुकान् ।। उच्चावचान् कलौ लक्ष्मीर्गन्ता संत्यज्य सज्जनान् ।। १३ ।।

Unrivalled splendour has resorted to the Kiṃśuka flowers devoid of odour, as Lakṣmī (the Goddess of fortune) abandons good people and resorts to the crooked, whether of high or low birth.

asamazrIzca kuTilaM bheje yasyAtha kiMzukAn || uccAvacAn kalau lakSmIrgantA saMtyajya sajjanAn || 13 ||

मंदारस्तन पीलूनां शब्देन हृषिता मुहुः ।। केकायंते प्रतिवने सततं पृष्ठसूचकम् ।। १४ ।।

The peacocks are delighted at the sound of the cloud over the Mandara mountain. Their gleeful cackles and out-stretched tails indicate the incessant pleasure of their heart.

maMdArastana pIlUnAM zabdena hRSitA muhuH || kekAyaMte prativane satataM pRSThasUcakam || 14 ||

मेघोत्सुकानां मधुरश्चातकानां मनोहरः ।। धारासारशरैस्तापं पेतुः प्रतिपथोद्गतम् ।। १५ ।।

The sweet and delightful sounds of the Cātaka birds that are fond of clouds fall upon the way-farers like the arrows of rain-showers causing incessant pain.
