न सूर्यो दृश्यते नापि मेघच्छन्नो निशापतिः ॥ दिवापि रात्रिवद्भाति विरहि व्यसनाकरः ॥ ६ ॥
Covered by the clouds neither the sun nor the moon is visible. Even the day appears like the night and it distresses those who are separated from their lovers.
english translation
na sUryo dRzyate nApi meghacchanno nizApatiH ॥ divApi rAtrivadbhAti virahi vyasanAkaraH ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमेघानैकत्र तिष्ठंतो ध्वनन्त पवनेरिताः ॥ पतंत इव लोकानां दृश्यंते मूर्ध्नि शंकर ॥ ७ ॥
O Śiva, tossed about by the gusts of wind the clouds do not remain steady in any place, they rumble and appear as if they would fall on the heads of the people.

meghAnaikatra tiSThaMto dhvananta pavaneritAH ॥ pataMta iva lokAnAM dRzyaMte mUrdhni zaMkara ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवाताहता महावृक्षा नर्तंत इव चांबरे ॥ दृश्यंते हर भीरूणां त्रासदाः कामुकेप्सिता ॥ ८ ॥
Huge trees struck down by the wind appear to dance in the sky, terrifying the cowards and delighting the lover, O Śiva.

vAtAhatA mahAvRkSA nartaMta iva cAMbare ॥ dRzyaMte hara bhIrUNAM trAsadAH kAmukepsitA ॥ 8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्निग्धनीलांजनस्याशु सदिवौघस्य पृष्ठतः ॥ बलाकराजी वात्युच्चैर्यमुनापृष्ठफेनवत् ॥ ९ ॥
Flocks of cranes above the clouds glossy and blue like the collyrium shine like foams on the surface of Yamunā.

snigdhanIlAMjanasyAzu sadivaughasya pRSThataH ॥ balAkarAjI vAtyuccairyamunApRSThaphenavat ॥ 9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षपाक्षयेषवलयं दृश्यते कालिकागता ॥ अंबुधाविव संदीप्तपावको वडवामुखः ॥ 2-2-22-१० ॥
During the close of the nights the circle of lightning appears like the blazing submarine fire in the ocean.
