यो निवृत्तिसुमार्गस्थः स्वात्मारामो निरंजनः ॥ अवधूततनुर्ज्ञानी स्वद्रष्टा कामवर्जितः ॥ ३१ ॥
He who abides in the excellent path of cessation (nivṛtti), delights in his own self (svātmārāma), is stainless (nirañjana), whose body is that of an avadhūta, is a knower (jñānī), sees his own self (svadraṣṭā), and is devoid of desire (kāmavarjita).
english translation
अविकारी ह्यभोगी च सदाशुचिरमंगलः ॥ तस्य प्रयोजनं लोके कामिन्या किं वदाधुना ॥ ३२ ॥
For what purpose in the world is a woman desirous of love to him who is immutable (avikārī), without enjoyment (abhogī), always pure (sadāśuciḥ), and inauspicious (amangalaḥ)? Tell me now!
english translation
केवलं योगलग्नस्य ममानंदस्सदास्ति वै ॥ ज्ञानहीनस्तु पुरुषो मनुते बहु कामकम् ॥ ३३ ॥
Even as I am engaged in Yoga, I experience the mystic Bliss. Only a man devoid of perfect knowledge will make much of marriage and desire it.
english translation
विवाहकरणं लोके विज्ञेयं परबंधनम् ॥ तस्मात्तस्य रुचिर्नो मे सत्यं सत्यं वदाम्यहम् ॥ ३४ ॥
Actually it is a great bondage. Hence I am not interested in it. This is truth. I am telling you the truth.
english translation
न स्वार्थं मे प्रवृत्तिर्हि सम्यक्स्वार्थविचिंतनात् ॥ तथापि तत्करिष्यामि भवदुक्तं जगद्धितम् ॥ ३५ ॥
None of my activities is pursued with self-interest. Yet I shall carry out what you have suggested for the benefit of the universe.
