त्वद्बलान्मे बहूनाञ्च तपोगर्वो विनाशितः ॥ मद्राज्यस्थिरता मित्र त्वदनुग्रहतस्सदा ॥ ११ ॥
Strongly supported by you I have destroyed the pride of many ascetics O friend, the stability of my kingdom is always due to your blessing.
english translation
tvadbalAnme bahUnAJca tapogarvo vinAzitaH ॥ madrAjyasthiratA mitra tvadanugrahatassadA ॥ 11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहिमशैलगुहायां हि मुनिस्तपति नारदः ॥ मनसोद्दिश्य विश्वेशं महासंयमवान्दृढः ॥१२॥
Nārada, the sage, is performing a penance in the Himalaya mountain directing his mind towards the Lord of the universe with great mental control and firm resolve.

himazailaguhAyAM hi munistapati nAradaH ॥ manasoddizya vizvezaM mahAsaMyamavAndRDhaH ॥12॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयाचेन्न विधितो राज्यं स ममेति विशंकितः॥ अद्यैव गच्छ तत्र त्वं तत्तपोविघ्नमाचर॥१३॥
I now fear lest he should beg of Brahmā my kingdom. You must go there now itself and hinder his penance.
english translation
yAcenna vidhito rAjyaM sa mameti vizaMkitaH॥ adyaiva gaccha tatra tvaM tattapovighnamAcara॥13॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्याज्ञप्तो महेन्द्रेण स कामस्समधु प्रियः॥ जगाम तत्स्थलं गर्वादुपायं स्वञ्चकार ह॥१४॥
Being thus commanded by Indra, Kāmadeva, accompanied by his wife (Rati) and Madhu, his friend, went haughtily to that place. He then prepared his own means of attack.

ityAjJapto mahendreNa sa kAmassamadhu priyaH॥ jagAma tatsthalaM garvAdupAyaM svaJcakAra ha॥14॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरचयामास तत्राशु स्वकलास्सकला अपि ॥ वसंतोपि स्वप्रभावं चकार विविधं मदात् ॥१५॥
He employed all his arts there immediately. Spring too haughtily spread his prowess of diverse nature.

racayAmAsa tatrAzu svakalAssakalA api ॥ vasaMtopi svaprabhAvaM cakAra vividhaM madAt ॥15॥
