असकृद्दक्षिणेनाक्ष्णा पुनर्मामेव पश्यति ॥ असूयमानो मे रूपप्रेम सौभाग्यसंपद ॥ २१ ॥
And seeing me with his right eye jealously why does he marvel at my beauty, love and good luck.
english translation
asakRddakSiNenAkSNA punarmAmeva pazyati ॥ asUyamAno me rUpaprema saubhAgyasaMpada ॥ 21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति देवीगिरं श्रुत्वा प्रहस्य प्राह तां प्रभुः ॥ उमे त्वदीयः पुत्रोऽयं न च क्रूरेण चक्षुषा ॥ २२ ॥
Hearing the words of the Goddess, the Lord (Shiva) smiled and replied to her: "O Umā, this is indeed your own son, and he should not be looked upon with harsh eyes."
english translation
iti devIgiraM zrutvA prahasya prAha tAM prabhuH ॥ ume tvadIyaH putro'yaM na ca krUreNa cakSuSA ॥ 22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंपश्यति तपोलक्ष्मीं तव किं त्वधिवर्णयेत् ॥ इति देवीं समाभाष्य तमीशः पुनरब्रवीत् ॥२३॥
He (this being) fully beholds the splendor of penance—what more, O Goddess, could one possibly describe? Thus addressing the Devi, the Lord (Īśa, i.e., Shiva) again spoke to her.

saMpazyati tapolakSmIM tava kiM tvadhivarNayet ॥ iti devIM samAbhASya tamIzaH punarabravIt ॥23॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवरान्ददामि ते वत्स तपसानेन तोषितः ॥ निधीनामथ नाथस्त्वं गुह्यकानां भवेश्वरः ॥२४॥
Dear son, I am delighted at your penance. I shall give you the boon you desire. You will be the lord of treasures and the lord of Guhyakas.
english translation
varAndadAmi te vatsa tapasAnena toSitaH ॥ nidhInAmatha nAthastvaM guhyakAnAM bhavezvaraH ॥24॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयक्षाणां किन्नराणां च राज्ञां राज च सुव्रतः ॥ पतिः पुण्यजनानां च सर्वेषां धनदो भव ॥ २५ ॥
You will be the king of Yakṣas[3], Kinnaras[4] and rulers. You will be the leader of Puṇyajanas and the bestower of wealth to all.

yakSANAM kinnarANAM ca rAjJAM rAja ca suvrataH ॥ patiH puNyajanAnAM ca sarveSAM dhanado bhava ॥ 25 ॥
