संपश्यति तपोलक्ष्मीं तव किं त्वधिवर्णयेत् ॥ इति देवीं समाभाष्य तमीशः पुनरब्रवीत् ॥२३॥

sanskrit

He (this being) fully beholds the splendor of penance—what more, O Goddess, could one possibly describe? Thus addressing the Devi, the Lord (Īśa, i.e., Shiva) again spoke to her.

english translation

saMpazyati tapolakSmIM tava kiM tvadhivarNayet ॥ iti devIM samAbhASya tamIzaH punarabravIt ॥23॥
