वीक्षणं गौरिरूपेण क्रीडयेन्मन्मथैर्गणैः ।। कामोऽयं हंति कामारिमूचुरन्योन्यमादताः ।। ४६ ।।

Seeing that she (Gauri, the goddess) was playfully sporting in a charming form with the hosts of Love’s attendants (like Kāma), They said to one another with joy, "This is Kāma (the god of love) himself who will now conquer even Kāmaripu (the enemy of desire — Lord Shiva)."

vIkSaNaM gaurirUpeNa krIDayenmanmathairgaNaiH || kAmo'yaM haMti kAmArimUcuranyonyamAdatAH || 46 ||

स्प्रष्टुं शक्नोति या काचिदृते दाक्षायणी स्त्रियम् ।। सा गच्छेत्तत्र निश्शंकं मोहयेत्पार्वतीपतिम् ।। ४७ ।।

If any lady, save Pārvatī, is able to touch Śiva, let her go there unhesitatingly and fascinate him.

कूष्मांडतनया तत्र शंकरं स्प्रष्टुमुत्सहे ।। अहं गौरीसुरूपेण चित्रलेखा वचोऽब्रवीत् ।। ४८ ।।

The daughter of Kumbhāṇḍa, Citralekhā said—“I desire to attract Śiva in the form of Pārvatī.

चित्रलेखोवाच ।। यदधान्मोहिनीरूपं केशवो मोह नेच्छया ।। पुरा तद्वैष्णवं योगमाश्रित्य परमार्थतः ।। ४९ ।।

Just as Viṣṇu, by taking recourse to his yogic powers assumed the form of Enchantress (Mohinī)”.
