पत्रैः सहस्रपत्रैश्च रम्यैर्नानाविधैश्शुभैः ॥ सावधानेन सुप्रीत्या स समानर्च शंकरम् ॥ ११ ॥
With beautiful petals, including thousands of kinds of fragrant and auspicious leaves, He carefully and lovingly worshipped Lord Shankara with great devotion.
english translation
गीतनृत्योपहारैश्च संस्तुतः स्तुतिभिर्बहु ॥ नाम्नां सहस्रैरन्यैश्च स्तोत्रैस्तुष्टाव शंकरम् ॥ १२॥
He eulogised Śiva with various hymns and repeated a thousand names. He sang songs of Śiva’s glory. He danced and made offerings.

सहस्रं पञ्चशरदामित्थं शुक्रो महेश्वरम्॥ नानाप्रकारविधिना महेशं स समर्चयत् ॥ १३॥
Śukra worshipped lord Śiva in various ways for five thousand years.

यदा देवं नानुलोके मनागपि वरोन्मुखम् ॥ तदान्यं नियमं घोरं जग्राहातीव दुस्सहम् ॥१४॥
When he did not see the lord, the least inclined to grant the boon, he took up still more unbearable and terrible observances and restraints.
english translation
प्रक्षाल्य चेतसोऽत्यंतं चांचल्याख्यं महामलम् ॥ भावनावार्भिरसकृदिंद्रियैस्सहितस्य च ॥१५॥
He washed off the dirt of fickleness from his mind by the waters of pure conceptions many times as well as from the sense-organs. After purifying the gem of the mind, he offered the same to the trident-bearing lord.
