प्रक्षाल्य हस्तौ पश्चाद्वै प्राणायामं प्रकल्पयेत् ॥ मूलमंत्रेण तत्रैव दशावर्तं नयेन्नरः ॥ ४१ ॥
The devotee shall wash his hands and feet and perform Prāṇāyāma ten times with Mūlamantra.
english translation
पंचमुद्राः प्रकर्तव्याः पूजावश्यं करेप्सिताः ॥ एता मुद्राः प्रदर्श्यैव चरेत्पूजाविधिं नरः ॥४२॥
Five mystic Mudrās shall be shown with the hand before the worship. Only after showing the Mudrās shall the worship be performed.
english translation
दीपं कृत्वा तदा तत्र नमस्कारं गुरोरथ ॥ बध्वा पद्मासनं तत्र भद्रासनमथापि वा ॥ ४३ ॥
Having lit a lamp there, one should then offer salutations to the Guru. Then, seated in Padmasana or alternatively in Bhadrasana, one should prepare for the worship.

उत्तानासनकं कृत्वा पर्यंकासनकं तथा ॥ यथासुखं तथा स्थित्वा प्रयोगं पुनरेव च ॥४४॥
Assuming Uttanāsana or Paryankāsana, or whichever posture is most comfortable, one should sit steadily — and then proceed again with the practice.
english translation
कृत्वा पूजां पुराजातां वट्टकेनैव तारयेत् ॥ यदि वा स्वयमेवेह गृहे न नियमोऽस्ति च ॥४५॥
By performing the traditional worship, one should elevate (purify) the surroundings through the proper rituals. If there is no regular practice in the home, one may still perform the worship on their own.
