पतिव्रतायाश्चरणो यत्र यत्र स्पृशेद्भुवम् ॥ तत्र तत्र भवेत्सा हि पापहन्त्री सुपावनी ॥६१॥
Wherever the chaste lady sets her foot, the sin is dispelled therefrom and the place is sanctified.
english translation
pativratAyAzcaraNo yatra yatra spRzedbhuvam ॥ tatra tatra bhavetsA hi pApahantrI supAvanI ॥61॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविभुः पतिव्रतास्पर्शं कुरुते भानुमानपि ॥ सोमो गन्धवहश्चापि स्वपावित्र्याय नान्यथा ॥६२॥
Even the sun, moon and wind touch the chaste woman to sanctify themselves and not otherwise.

vibhuH pativratAsparzaM kurute bhAnumAnapi ॥ somo gandhavahazcApi svapAvitryAya nAnyathA ॥62॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआपः पतिव्रतास्पर्शमभिलष्यन्ति सर्वदा ॥ अद्य जाड्यविनाशो नो जातस्त्वद्यान्यपावनाः॥६३॥
Waters desire the touch of the chaste lady thinking—“Now our sluggishness is gone. Now we are able to purify others”.

ApaH pativratAsparzamabhilaSyanti sarvadA ॥ adya jADyavinAzo no jAtastvadyAnyapAvanAH॥63॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभार्या मूलं गृहस्थास्य भार्या मूलं सुखस्य च ॥ भार्या धर्मफलावाप्त्यै भार्या सन्तानवृद्धये॥६४॥
Wife is the root of the household, and of its happiness; she is the source of the fruit of virtue and for the flourishing of the family.
english translation
bhAryA mUlaM gRhasthAsya bhAryA mUlaM sukhasya ca ॥ bhAryA dharmaphalAvAptyai bhAryA santAnavRddhaye॥64॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगृहे गृहे न किं नार्य्यो रूपलावण्यगर्विताः ॥ परम्विश्वेशभक्त्यैव लभ्यते स्त्री पतिव्रता ॥६५॥
In every house there are women proud of their exquisite beauty and comely appearance. But it is only due to the devotion of Śiva that a chaste lady is obtained.

gRhe gRhe na kiM nAryyo rUpalAvaNyagarvitAH ॥ paramvizvezabhaktyaiva labhyate strI pativratA ॥65॥
