भार्या मूलं गृहस्थास्य भार्या मूलं सुखस्य च ।। भार्या धर्मफलावाप्त्यै भार्या सन्तानवृद्धये।।६४।।

Wife is the root of the household, and of its happiness; she is the source of the fruit of virtue and for the flourishing of the family.

english translation

bhAryA mUlaM gRhasthAsya bhAryA mUlaM sukhasya ca || bhAryA dharmaphalAvAptyai bhAryA santAnavRddhaye||64||
