तज्ज्ञात्वा स्त्रीगणस्सोसौ तत्रागच्छन्महोत्सवः ।। चक्रे मंगलगानं हि पश्यन्शम्भुपदद्वयम् ।।३६।।

On coming to know of it the ladies came enthusiastically. With their eyes fixed on the feet of Śiva, they sang auspicious songs.

tajjJAtvA strIgaNassosau tatrAgacchanmahotsavaH || cakre maMgalagAnaM hi pazyanzambhupadadvayam ||36||

अथ शंम्भुर्भवाचारी प्रातःकृत्यं विधाय च ।। मेनामान्त्र्य कुध्रं च जनावासं जगाम सः ।।३७।।

Śiva then, in accordance with the worldly customs, went through his morning routine. He took leave of Menā and the mountain and went to the audience hall.

atha zaMmbhurbhavAcArI prAtaHkRtyaM vidhAya ca || menAmAntrya kudhraM ca janAvAsaM jagAma saH ||37||

महोत्सवस्तदा चासीद्वेदध्वनिरभून्मुने ।। वाद्यानि वादयामासुर्जनाश्चातुर्विधानि च ।।३८।।

There was great jubilation there, O sage. Vedic mantras were recited loudly. The people played on the four kinds of musical instruments.

mahotsavastadA cAsIdvedadhvanirabhUnmune || vAdyAni vAdayAmAsurjanAzcAturvidhAni ca ||38||

शम्भुरागत्य स्वस्थानं ववन्दे च मुनींस्तदा ।। हरिं च मां भवाचारात् वन्दितोऽभूत्सुरादिभिः ।।३९।।

Śiva came to His apartment and bowed to the sages, Viṣṇu and me in accordance with the worldly conventions and was saluted by the gods and others.

zambhurAgatya svasthAnaM vavande ca munIMstadA || hariM ca mAM bhavAcArAt vandito'bhUtsurAdibhiH ||39||

जयशब्दो बभूवाथ नमश्शब्दस्तथैव च ।। वेदध्वनिश्च शुभदो महाकोलाहलोऽभवत् ।।2.3.52.४०।।

Shouts of Victory and Obeisance rose up along with the auspicious sound of Vedic chants. There was great tumult.
