प्रैषमंत्रांस्तु जप्त्वैवं सावधानेन चेतसा ॥ अभयं सर्वभूतेभ्यो मत्तः स्वाहेति संजपन् ॥ ७१ ॥
After muttering the Preṣa mantras with attentive mind he shall say “Let all living beings have fearlessness from me, Svāhā.”
english translation
प्राच्यां दिश्यप उद्धृत्य प्रक्षिपेदजलिं ततः ॥ शिखां यज्ञोपवीतं च यत्रोत्पाट्य च पाणिना ॥ ७२॥
He shall take water in the cupped palms and pour it to the east. He shall uproot the tuft and take out the sacred thread.
english translation
गृहीत्वा प्रणवं भूश्च समुद्रं गच्छ सम्वदेत् ॥ वह्निजायां समुच्चार्य्य सोदकाञ्जलिना ततः ॥ ७३ ॥
Take the oṁkāra and go to the earth and the sea and converse with him Then chanting the mantra Vahnijaya with folded hands of water.
english translation
अप्सु हूयादथ प्रेषैरभिमंत्र्य त्रिधा त्वपः ॥ प्राश्य तीरे समागत्य भूमौ वस्त्रादिकं त्यजेत् ॥ ७४ ॥
Then he should offer oblations in water and chant the mantras of the messengers in three ways. After drinking he should come to the shore and leave his clothes and other things on the ground.
english translation
उदङ्मुखः प्राङ्मुखो वा गच्छेस्सप्तपदाधिकम् ॥ किञ्चिद्दूरमथाचार्यस्तिष्ठ तिष्ठेति संवदेत् ॥ ७५॥
Go north or east for more than seven feet. Then, a little farther away, the teacher should converse, “Stay, stay.”
