यु॒ष्माँ उ॒ नक्त॑मू॒तये॑ यु॒ष्मान्दिवा॑ हवामहे । यु॒ष्मान्प्र॑य॒त्य॑ध्व॒रे ॥ युष्माँ उ नक्तमूतये युष्मान्दिवा हवामहे । युष्मान्प्रयत्यध्वरे ॥
We invoke you for protection by night, (we invoke) you by day, (we invoke) you when the sacrifice is in progress.
english translation
उदु॒ त्ये अ॑रु॒णप्स॑वश्चि॒त्रा यामे॑भिरीरते । वा॒श्रा अधि॒ ष्णुना॑ दि॒वः ॥ उदु त्ये अरुणप्सवश्चित्रा यामेभिरीरते । वाश्रा अधि ष्णुना दिवः ॥
Truly these purple-hued, wonderful, clamorous Maruts proceed with their chariots in the height above the sky.
english translation
सृ॒जन्ति॑ र॒श्मिमोज॑सा॒ पन्थां॒ सूर्या॑य॒ यात॑वे । ते भा॒नुभि॒र्वि त॑स्थिरे ॥ सृजन्ति रश्मिमोजसा पन्थां सूर्याय यातवे । ते भानुभिर्वि तस्थिरे ॥
They, who by their might open a radiant path for the sun to travel, they pervade (the world) with lustre.
english translation
इ॒मां मे॑ मरुतो॒ गिर॑मि॒मं स्तोम॑मृभुक्षणः । इ॒मं मे॑ वनता॒ हव॑म् ॥ इमां मे मरुतो गिरमिमं स्तोममृभुक्षणः । इमं मे वनता हवम् ॥
Accept, Maruts, this my praise, (accept), mighty ones, this my adoration, (accept) this my invocation.
english translation
त्रीणि॒ सरां॑सि॒ पृश्न॑यो दुदु॒ह्रे व॒ज्रिणे॒ मधु॑ । उत्सं॒ कव॑न्धमु॒द्रिण॑म् ॥ त्रीणि सरांसि पृश्नयो दुदुह्रे वज्रिणे मधु । उत्सं कवन्धमुद्रिणम् ॥
The kine have filled for the thunderer three lakes of the sweet (Soma) from the dripping water-bearingcloud.
