व॒यमु॑ त्वा॒ दिवा॑ सु॒ते व॒यं नक्तं॑ हवामहे । अ॒स्माकं॒ काम॒मा पृ॑ण ॥ वयमु त्वा दिवा सुते वयं नक्तं हवामहे । अस्माकं काममा पृण ॥
We invoke you when the Soma is effused by day, we invoke you by night; fulfil our desire.
english translation
क्व१॒॑ स्य वृ॑ष॒भो युवा॑ तुवि॒ग्रीवो॒ अना॑नतः । ब्र॒ह्मा कस्तं स॑पर्यति ॥ क्व स्य वृषभो युवा तुविग्रीवो अनानतः । ब्रह्मा कस्तं सपर्यति ॥
Where is that ever-youthful showerer, strong-necked and bowing to none? What hymner worships you?
english translation
कस्य॑ स्वि॒त्सव॑नं॒ वृषा॑ जुजु॒ष्वाँ अव॑ गच्छति । इन्द्रं॒ क उ॑ स्वि॒दा च॑के ॥ कस्य स्वित्सवनं वृषा जुजुष्वाँ अव गच्छति । इन्द्रं क उ स्विदा चके ॥
To whose offering does the showerer come down pleased? Who can praise Indra?
english translation
कं ते॑ दा॒ना अ॑सक्षत॒ वृत्र॑ह॒न्कं सु॒वीर्या॑ । उ॒क्थे क उ॑ स्वि॒दन्त॑मः ॥ कं ते दाना असक्षत वृत्रहन्कं सुवीर्या । उक्थे क उ स्विदन्तमः ॥
In what character, O slayer of Vṛtra, do the sacrificial offerings honour you, or the brave praises in thehymn? Who is nearest (in time of battle)?
english translation
अ॒यं ते॒ मानु॑षे॒ जने॒ सोम॑: पू॒रुषु॑ सूयते । तस्येहि॒ प्र द्र॑वा॒ पिब॑ ॥ अयं ते मानुषे जने सोमः पूरुषु सूयते । तस्येहि प्र द्रवा पिब ॥
For you is this Soma effused among men by me of mortal race; draw near, hasten, drink it.
