अव॑ चष्ट॒ ऋची॑षमोऽव॒ताँ इ॑व॒ मानु॑षः । जु॒ष्ट्वी दक्ष॑स्य सो॒मिन॒: सखा॑यं कृणुते॒ युजं॑ भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तय॑: ॥ अव चष्ट ऋचीषमोऽवताँ इव मानुषः । जुष्ट्वी दक्षस्य सोमिनः सखायं कृणुते युजं भद्रा इन्द्रस्य रातयः ॥
Indra, who is well-deserving of the hymn, looks down (with favour) upon us as a (thirsty) man (looksdown) on wells; and being well-plural ased he makes the energetic Soma-offerer his friend; Indra's gifts are worthy of praise.
