वि चि॑द्वृ॒त्रस्य॒ दोध॑तो॒ वज्रे॑ण श॒तप॑र्वणा । शिरो॑ बिभेद वृ॒ष्णिना॑ ॥ वि चिद्वृत्रस्य दोधतो वज्रेण शतपर्वणा । शिरो बिभेद वृष्णिना ॥
He has cloven with the powerful hundred-edged thunderbolt the head of the turbulent Vṛtra.
english translation
इ॒मा अ॒भि प्र णो॑नुमो वि॒पामग्रे॑षु धी॒तय॑: । अ॒ग्नेः शो॒चिर्न दि॒द्युत॑: ॥ इमा अभि प्र णोनुमो विपामग्रेषु धीतयः । अग्नेः शोचिर्न दिद्युतः ॥
In front of one worshipper we repeatedly utter our praises, radiant as the flame of fire.
english translation
गुहा॑ स॒तीरुप॒ त्मना॒ प्र यच्छोच॑न्त धी॒तय॑: । कण्वा॑ ऋ॒तस्य॒ धार॑या ॥ गुहा सतीरुप त्मना प्र यच्छोचन्त धीतयः । कण्वा ऋतस्य धारया ॥
The praises that are offered in secret shine brightly when approaching (Indra) of their own will; theKaṇvas (combine them) with the stream of the Soma.
english translation
प्र तमि॑न्द्र नशीमहि र॒यिं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विन॑म् । प्र ब्रह्म॑ पू॒र्वचि॑त्तये ॥ प्र तमिन्द्र नशीमहि रयिं गोमन्तमश्विनम् । प्र ब्रह्म पूर्वचित्तये ॥
May we obtain, Indra, that wealth which comprises cattle, horses, and food, before it be known toothers.
english translation
अ॒हमिद्धि पि॒तुष्परि॑ मे॒धामृ॒तस्य॑ ज॒ग्रभ॑ । अ॒हं सूर्य॑ इवाजनि ॥ अहमिद्धि पितुष्परि मेधामृतस्य जग्रभ । अहं सूर्य इवाजनि ॥
I have verily acquired the favour of the true protector (Indra); I have become (bright) as the sun.
