ये त्रिं॒शति॒ त्रय॑स्प॒रो दे॒वासो॑ ब॒र्हिरास॑दन् । वि॒दन्नह॑ द्वि॒तास॑नन् ॥ ये त्रिंशति त्रयस्परो देवासो बर्हिरासदन् । विदन्नह द्वितासनन् ॥
May the three-and-thirty divinities sit down upon the sacred grass; may they accept (our offerings), andbestow upon us both (sorts of wealth).
english translation
वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा स्मद्रा॑तिषाचो अ॒ग्नय॑: । पत्नी॑वन्तो॒ वष॑ट्कृताः ॥ वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा स्मद्रातिषाचो अग्नयः । पत्नीवन्तो वषट्कृताः ॥
May Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman and the Agnis, with their wives, honouring the donors (of the oblation),and addressed with the sacrificial exclamation.
english translation
ते नो॑ गो॒पा अ॑पा॒च्यास्त उद॒क्त इ॒त्था न्य॑क् । पु॒रस्ता॒त्सर्व॑या वि॒शा ॥ ते नो गोपा अपाच्यास्त उदक्त इत्था न्यक् । पुरस्तात्सर्वया विशा ॥
Be our protectors, whether coming with all their attendants from the west, from the north, from thesouth, from the east.
english translation
यथा॒ वश॑न्ति दे॒वास्तथेद॑स॒त्तदे॑षां॒ नकि॒रा मि॑नत् । अरा॑वा च॒न मर्त्य॑: ॥ यथा वशन्ति देवास्तथेदसत्तदेषां नकिरा मिनत् । अरावा चन मर्त्यः ॥
Whatever the gods desire, that assuredly comes to pass; no one can resist their (will), no mortalwithholds (their) offerings.
english translation
स॒प्ता॒नां स॒प्त ऋ॒ष्टय॑: स॒प्त द्यु॒म्नान्ये॑षाम् । स॒प्तो अधि॒ श्रियो॑ धिरे ॥ सप्तानां सप्त ऋष्टयः सप्त द्युम्नान्येषाम् । सप्तो अधि श्रियो धिरे ॥
Seven are he lances of the seven (troops of the Maruts), seven are their ornaments, they wear seven surpassing glories.
