तव॑ वायवृतस्पते॒ त्वष्टु॑र्जामातरद्भुत । अवां॒स्या वृ॑णीमहे ॥ तव वायवृतस्पते त्वष्टुर्जामातरद्भुत । अवांस्या वृणीमहे ॥
We solicit your protection, Vāyu, lord of sacrifice wonderful son-in- law of Tvaṣṭā.
english translation
त्वष्टु॒र्जामा॑तरं व॒यमीशा॑नं रा॒य ई॑महे । सु॒ताव॑न्तो वा॒युं द्यु॒म्ना जना॑सः ॥ त्वष्टुर्जामातरं वयमीशानं राय ईमहे । सुतावन्तो वायुं द्युम्ना जनासः ॥
We, the offerers of Soma, solicit riches from the sovereign, the son- in-law of Tvaṣṭā; (may webecome) wealthy.
english translation
वायो॑ या॒हि शि॒वा दि॒वो वह॑स्वा॒ सु स्वश्व्य॑म् । वह॑स्व म॒हः पृ॑थु॒पक्ष॑सा॒ रथे॑ ॥ वायो याहि शिवा दिवो वहस्वा सु स्वश्व्यम् । वहस्व महः पृथुपक्षसा रथे ॥
Establish, Vāyu, happiness in heaven; bear quickly your well-horsed (chariot); do you, who are mighty,yoke the broad-flanked (horses) to the car.
english translation
त्वां हि सु॒प्सर॑स्तमं नृ॒षद॑नेषु हू॒महे॑ । ग्रावा॑णं॒ नाश्व॑पृष्ठं मं॒हना॑ ॥ त्वां हि सुप्सरस्तमं नृषदनेषु हूमहे । ग्रावाणं नाश्वपृष्ठं मंहना ॥
We invoke you who are of graceful form, extending through your magnitude your limbs in all directions,to our religious rites, like the stone (for bruising the Soma).
english translation
स त्वं नो॑ देव॒ मन॑सा॒ वायो॑ मन्दा॒नो अ॑ग्रि॒यः । कृ॒धि वाजाँ॑ अ॒पो धिय॑: ॥ स त्वं नो देव मनसा वायो मन्दानो अग्रियः । कृधि वाजाँ अपो धियः ॥
Divine Vāyu, foremost (of the gods), exulting in your won mind, cause our rites to be productive of food and water.
