अग्ने॑ या॒हि सु॑श॒स्तिभि॑र्ह॒व्या जुह्वा॑न आनु॒षक् । यथा॑ दू॒तो ब॒भूथ॑ हव्य॒वाह॑नः ॥ अग्ने याहि सुशस्तिभिर्हव्या जुह्वान आनुषक् । यथा दूतो बभूथ हव्यवाहनः ॥

Proceed, Agni, with pious praises, offering in due order the oblations (to the gods), for you are theirmessenger, the bearer of oblations.

english translation

agne॑ yA॒hi su॑za॒stibhi॑rha॒vyA juhvA॑na Anu॒Sak | yathA॑ dU॒to ba॒bhUtha॑ havya॒vAha॑naH || agne yAhi suzastibhirhavyA juhvAna AnuSak | yathA dUto babhUtha havyavAhanaH ||

I invoke for you, (worshippers), Agni, the ancient ministrant priest of man, I praise him with this hymn, Iglorify him for you.

य॒ज्ञेभि॒रद्भु॑तक्रतुं॒ यं कृ॒पा सू॒दय॑न्त॒ इत् । मि॒त्रं न जने॒ सुधि॑तमृ॒ताव॑नि ॥ यज्ञेभिरद्भुतक्रतुं यं कृपा सूदयन्त इत् । मित्रं न जने सुधितमृतावनि ॥

(Worship him who is) of wondrous works, who, gladdened (by offerings), is present like a friend, whom(the priests) by their sacrifices, according to their power, render propitious to the worshipper.

english translation

ya॒jJebhi॒radbhu॑takratuM॒ yaM kR॒pA sU॒daya॑nta॒ it | mi॒traM na jane॒ sudhi॑tamR॒tAva॑ni || yajJebhiradbhutakratuM yaM kRpA sUdayanta it | mitraM na jane sudhitamRtAvani ||

Pious worshippers, at the plural ce of offerings adore with praise him who is gratified by worship, thecompleter of the sacrifice.

अच्छा॑ नो॒ अङ्गि॑रस्तमं य॒ज्ञासो॑ यन्तु सं॒यत॑: । होता॒ यो अस्ति॑ वि॒क्ष्वा य॒शस्त॑मः ॥ अच्छा नो अङ्गिरस्तमं यज्ञासो यन्तु संयतः । होता यो अस्ति विक्ष्वा यशस्तमः ॥

Let our sacrificers, prepared (with their implements), present themselves before the chief of theAṅgirasas, who is the most renowned offerer of oblations among men.
