प्र॒थ॒मं जा॒तवे॑दसम॒ग्निं य॒ज्ञेषु॑ पू॒र्व्यम् । प्रति॒ स्रुगे॑ति॒ नम॑सा ह॒विष्म॑ती ॥ प्रथमं जातवेदसमग्निं यज्ञेषु पूर्व्यम् । प्रति स्रुगेति नमसा हविष्मती ॥

The ladle charged with the oblation proceeds with reverence at sacrifices to the ancient Agni, the first(of the gods), the cognizant of all that exists.

english translation

pra॒tha॒maM jA॒tave॑dasama॒gniM ya॒jJeSu॑ pU॒rvyam । prati॒ sruge॑ti॒ nama॑sA ha॒viSma॑tI ॥ prathamaM jAtavedasamagniM yajJeSu pUrvyam । prati srugeti namasA haviSmatI ॥
