वि॒द्मा ह्य॑स्य वी॒रस्य॑ भूरि॒दाव॑रीं सुम॒तिम् । त्रि॒षु जा॒तस्य॒ मनां॑सि ॥ विद्मा ह्यस्य वीरस्य भूरिदावरीं सुमतिम् । त्रिषु जातस्य मनांसि ॥
We know the munificent genitive rosity of the hero (Indra); of the purposes of him who is manifest in thethree worlds (we are aware).
english translation
आ तू षि॑ञ्च॒ कण्व॑मन्तं॒ न घा॑ विद्म शवसा॒नात् । य॒शस्त॑रं श॒तमू॑तेः ॥ आ तू षिञ्च कण्वमन्तं न घा विद्म शवसानात् । यशस्तरं शतमूतेः ॥
Pour out the libation to him who is associated with the Kaṇva (family); we know not any one morecelebrated than the very powerful bestower of numerous protections.
english translation
ज्येष्ठे॑न सोत॒रिन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमं॑ वी॒राय॑ श॒क्राय॑ । भरा॒ पिब॒न्नर्या॑य ॥ ज्येष्ठेन सोतरिन्द्राय सोमं वीराय शक्राय । भरा पिबन्नर्याय ॥
Offer, worshipper, the libation in the first plural ce to the hero, the powerful Indra, the benefactor of man;may he drink (of it).
english translation
यो वेदि॑ष्ठो अव्य॒थिष्वश्वा॑वन्तं जरि॒तृभ्य॑: । वाजं॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ गोम॑न्तम् ॥ यो वेदिष्ठो अव्यथिष्वश्वावन्तं जरितृभ्यः । वाजं स्तोतृभ्यो गोमन्तम् ॥
He who most recognisant of (the merit) of those who give him no annoyance, bestows upon his adorersand praisers food with horses and cattle.
english translation
पन्य॑म्पन्य॒मित्सो॑तार॒ आ धा॑वत॒ मद्या॑य । सोमं॑ वी॒राय॒ शूरा॑य ॥ पन्यम्पन्यमित्सोतार आ धावत मद्याय । सोमं वीराय शूराय ॥
Hasten, offerers of the libation, (to present) the glorious Soma to the valiant, the hero (Indra), for (his)exhilaration.
