स्तो॒ता यत्ते॒ विच॑र्षणिरतिप्रश॒र्धय॒द्गिर॑: । व॒या इ॒वानु॑ रोहते जु॒षन्त॒ यत् ॥ स्तोता यत्ते विचर्षणिरतिप्रशर्धयद्गिरः । वया इवानु रोहते जुषन्त यत् ॥
When your discriminating eulogist has addressed to you overpowering praises, then, if they areacceptable to you, they expand like the branches (of a tree).
english translation
प्र॒त्न॒वज्ज॑नया॒ गिर॑: शृणु॒धी ज॑रि॒तुर्हव॑म् । मदे॑मदे ववक्षिथा सु॒कृत्व॑ने ॥ प्रत्नवज्जनया गिरः शृणुधी जरितुर्हवम् । मदेमदे ववक्षिथा सुकृत्वने ॥
Genitive rate your eulogies as of old; hear the invocation of the adorer; you bear in your reiteratedexultation (blessings) to the liberal donor (of the oblation).
english translation
क्रीळ॑न्त्यस्य सू॒नृता॒ आपो॒ न प्र॒वता॑ य॒तीः । अ॒या धि॒या य उ॒च्यते॒ पति॑र्दि॒वः ॥ क्रीळन्त्यस्य सूनृता आपो न प्रवता यतीः । अया धिया य उच्यते पतिर्दिवः ॥
The kind and true words of him who in this hymn is called the lord of heaven sport like waters flowingby a downward (channel).
english translation
उ॒तो पति॒र्य उ॒च्यते॑ कृष्टी॒नामेक॒ इद्व॒शी । न॒मो॒वृ॒धैर॑व॒स्युभि॑: सु॒ते र॑ण ॥ उतो पतिर्य उच्यते कृष्टीनामेक इद्वशी । नमोवृधैरवस्युभिः सुते रण ॥
Or he, who is called the one absolute lord of men-- praise him, when the libation is effused, with magnifying songs, imploring his protection.
english translation
स्तु॒हि श्रु॒तं वि॑प॒श्चितं॒ हरी॒ यस्य॑ प्रस॒क्षिणा॑ । गन्ता॑रा दा॒शुषो॑ गृ॒हं न॑म॒स्विन॑: ॥ स्तुहि श्रुतं विपश्चितं हरी यस्य प्रसक्षिणा । गन्तारा दाशुषो गृहं नमस्विनः ॥
Praise the renowned, the sapient (Indra), whose victorious horses proceed to the dwelling of the devoutdonor (of the libation).
