यत्तु॒दत्सूर॒ एत॑शं व॒ङ्कू वात॑स्य प॒र्णिना॑ । वह॒त्कुत्स॑मार्जुने॒यं श॒तक्र॑तु॒: त्सर॑द्गन्ध॒र्वमस्तृ॑तम् ॥ यत्तुदत्सूर एतशं वङ्कू वातस्य पर्णिना । वहत्कुत्समार्जुनेयं शतक्रतुः त्सरद्गन्धर्वमस्तृतम् ॥
When Sūrya harassed Etaśa, Śatakratu conveyed (to his aid) Kutsa, the son of Arjuni, with his twoprancing horses (swift) as the wind, and stealthily approached the irresistible Gandharva.
english translation
य ऋ॒ते चि॑दभि॒श्रिष॑: पु॒रा ज॒त्रुभ्य॑ आ॒तृद॑: । संधा॑ता सं॒धिं म॒घवा॑ पुरू॒वसु॒रिष्क॑र्ता॒ विह्रु॑तं॒ पुन॑: ॥ य ऋते चिदभिश्रिषः पुरा जत्रुभ्य आतृदः । संधाता संधिं मघवा पुरूवसुरिष्कर्ता विह्रुतं पुनः ॥
He who without healing materials before the flow of blood from the necks was the effecter of there-union, the opulent Maghavan, again makes whole the dissevered (parts).
english translation
मा भू॑म॒ निष्ट्या॑ इ॒वेन्द्र॒ त्वदर॑णा इव । वना॑नि॒ न प्र॑जहि॒तान्य॑द्रिवो दु॒रोषा॑सो अमन्महि ॥ मा भूम निष्ट्या इवेन्द्र त्वदरणा इव । वनानि न प्रजहितान्यद्रिवो दुरोषासो अमन्महि ॥
May we never be like the abject, Indra, through your favour, nor suffer affliction; may we never be likebranchless trees; for, thunderer, unconsumable (by foes) we glorify you.
english translation
अम॑न्म॒हीद॑ना॒शवो॑ऽनु॒ग्रास॑श्च वृत्रहन् । स॒कृत्सु ते॑ मह॒ता शू॑र॒ राध॑सा॒ अनु॒ स्तोमं॑ मुदीमहि ॥ अमन्महीदनाशवोऽनुग्रासश्च वृत्रहन् । सकृत्सु ते महता शूर राधसा अनु स्तोमं मुदीमहि ॥
Neither rash nor irate, we verily glorify you, slayer of Vṛtra, may we propitiate you, hero, for once (atleast) by our praise with great (sacrificial) wealth.
english translation
यदि॒ स्तोमं॒ मम॒ श्रव॑द॒स्माक॒मिन्द्र॒मिन्द॑वः । ति॒रः प॒वित्रं॑ ससृ॒वांस॑ आ॒शवो॒ मन्द॑न्तु तुग्र्या॒वृध॑: ॥ यदि स्तोमं मम श्रवदस्माकमिन्द्रमिन्दवः । तिरः पवित्रं ससृवांस आशवो मन्दन्तु तुग्र्यावृधः ॥
If he hear our praise, then may our libations, flowing through the filter, dropping quickly, and diluted withconsecrated water, exhilarate Indra.
