इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ यमव॑थ उ॒भा वाजे॑षु॒ मर्त्य॑म् । दृ॒ळ्हा चि॒त्स प्र भे॑दति द्यु॒म्ना वाणी॑रिव त्रि॒तः ॥ इन्द्राग्नी यमवथ उभा वाजेषु मर्त्यम् । दृळ्हा चित्स प्र भेदति द्युम्ना वाणीरिव त्रितः ॥
Indra and Agni, the mortal whom you both protect scatters the substantial treasures (of his enemies), as Trita (fonfutes) the words (of his opponents).
english translation
या पृत॑नासु दु॒ष्टरा॒ या वाजे॑षु श्र॒वाय्या॑ । या पञ्च॑ चर्ष॒णीर॒भी॑न्द्रा॒ग्नी ता ह॑वामहे ॥ या पृतनासु दुष्टरा या वाजेषु श्रवाय्या । या पञ्च चर्षणीरभीन्द्राग्नी ता हवामहे ॥
We invoke the two, Indra and Agni, who are irresistible in conflicts, who are renowned in battles, who protect the five (classes of) men.
english translation
तयो॒रिदम॑व॒च्छव॑स्ति॒ग्मा दि॒द्युन्म॒घोनो॑: । प्रति॒ द्रुणा॒ गभ॑स्त्यो॒र्गवां॑ वृत्र॒घ्न एष॑ते ॥ तयोरिदमवच्छवस्तिग्मा दिद्युन्मघोनोः । प्रति द्रुणा गभस्त्योर्गवां वृत्रघ्न एषते ॥
Overpowering is the might of these two; the bright (lightning) is shining in the hands of Maghavan, as they go toether in one chariot for the (recovery of the) cows and the destruction of Vṛtra.
english translation
ता वा॒मेषे॒ रथा॑नामिन्द्रा॒ग्नी ह॑वामहे । पती॑ तु॒रस्य॒ राध॑सो वि॒द्वांसा॒ गिर्व॑णस्तमा ॥ ता वामेषे रथानामिन्द्राग्नी हवामहे । पती तुरस्य राधसो विद्वांसा गिर्वणस्तमा ॥
We invoke you both, Indra and Agni, for (sending) your chariots to the combat, lords of moveable wealth, all-knowing, most deserving of praise.
english translation
ता वृ॒धन्ता॒वनु॒ द्यून्मर्ता॑य दे॒वाव॒दभा॑ । अर्ह॑न्ता चित्पु॒रो द॒धेंऽशे॑व दे॒वावर्व॑ते ॥ ता वृधन्तावनु द्यून्मर्ताय देवावदभा । अर्हन्ता चित्पुरो दधेंऽशेव देवावर्वते ॥
I adore you, irresistible deities for (the sake of obtaining) horses; you who are increasing day by day like mortals, who are worthy of worship, like two Ādityas.
