ते अ॑ज्ये॒ष्ठा अक॑निष्ठास उ॒द्भिदोऽम॑ध्यमासो॒ मह॑सा॒ वि वा॑वृधुः । सु॒जा॒तासो॑ ज॒नुषा॒ पृश्नि॑मातरो दि॒वो मर्या॒ आ नो॒ अच्छा॑ जिगातन ॥ ते अज्येष्ठा अकनिष्ठास उद्भिदोऽमध्यमासो महसा वि वावृधुः । सुजातासो जनुषा पृश्निमातरो दिवो मर्या आ नो अच्छा जिगातन ॥

sanskrit

None of them are older, none younger (than the others); the destroyers of (foes), none hold a middle (rank), but all excel in glory; honourable by birth having Pṛṣṇi for your mother, do you, Maruts, favourable to man, come from heaven to our presence.

english translation

वयो॒ न ये श्रेणी॑: प॒प्तुरोज॒सान्ता॑न्दि॒वो बृ॑ह॒तः सानु॑न॒स्परि॑ । अश्वा॑स एषामु॒भये॒ यथा॑ वि॒दुः प्र पर्व॑तस्य नभ॒नूँर॑चुच्यवुः ॥ वयो न ये श्रेणीः पप्तुरोजसान्तान्दिवो बृहतः सानुनस्परि । अश्वास एषामुभये यथा विदुः प्र पर्वतस्य नभनूँरचुच्यवुः ॥

sanskrit

Like birds (that fly) in rows they pass along in their strength above the vast summit (of the sky) to the ends of the firmament; their horses have caused the waters of the cloud to descend, as both (gods and mortals) know.

english translation

vayo॒ na ye zreNI॑: pa॒pturoja॒sAntA॑ndi॒vo bR॑ha॒taH sAnu॑na॒spari॑ | azvA॑sa eSAmu॒bhaye॒ yathA॑ vi॒duH pra parva॑tasya nabha॒nU~ra॑cucyavuH || vayo na ye zreNIH papturojasAntAndivo bRhataH sAnunaspari | azvAsa eSAmubhaye yathA viduH pra parvatasya nabhanU~racucyavuH ||

मिमा॑तु॒ द्यौरदि॑तिर्वी॒तये॑ न॒: सं दानु॑चित्रा उ॒षसो॑ यतन्ताम् । आचु॑च्यवुर्दि॒व्यं कोश॑मे॒त ऋषे॑ रु॒द्रस्य॑ म॒रुतो॑ गृणा॒नाः ॥ मिमातु द्यौरदितिर्वीतये नः सं दानुचित्रा उषसो यतन्ताम् । आचुच्यवुर्दिव्यं कोशमेत ऋषे रुद्रस्य मरुतो गृणानाः ॥

sanskrit

May the heaven and the earth yield (rain) for our sustenance; may the wonderfully bounteous dawns exert themselves (for our good); may these sons of Rudra, lauded, Ṛṣi, (by you), send down the celestial rain.

english translation

mimA॑tu॒ dyauradi॑tirvI॒taye॑ na॒: saM dAnu॑citrA u॒Saso॑ yatantAm | Acu॑cyavurdi॒vyaM koza॑me॒ta RSe॑ ru॒drasya॑ ma॒ruto॑ gRNA॒nAH || mimAtu dyauraditirvItaye naH saM dAnucitrA uSaso yatantAm | AcucyavurdivyaM kozameta RSe rudrasya maruto gRNAnAH ||
