त्वामिद्वृ॑त्रहन्तम॒ जना॑सो वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः । उ॒ग्रं पू॒र्वीषु॑ पू॒र्व्यं हव॑न्ते॒ वाज॑सातये ॥ त्वामिद्वृत्रहन्तम जनासो वृक्तबर्हिषः । उग्रं पूर्वीषु पूर्व्यं हवन्ते वाजसातये ॥
Slayer of Vṛtra, men with clipped sacred grass invoked you, who are fierce and foremost among many, for aid in battle.
english translation
अ॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र दु॒ष्टरं॑ पुरो॒यावा॑नमा॒जिषु॑ । स॒यावा॑नं॒ धने॑धने वाज॒यन्त॑मवा॒ रथ॑म् ॥ अस्माकमिन्द्र दुष्टरं पुरोयावानमाजिषु । सयावानं धनेधने वाजयन्तमवा रथम् ॥
Defend, Indra, our chariot, difficult (to be stopped), mingling foremost in combats, followed by attendants, and eagerly striving for repeated spoil.

अ॒स्माक॑मि॒न्द्रेहि॑ नो॒ रथ॑मवा॒ पुरं॑ध्या । व॒यं श॑विष्ठ॒ वार्यं॑ दि॒वि श्रवो॑ दधीमहि दि॒वि स्तोमं॑ मनामहे ॥ अस्माकमिन्द्रेहि नो रथमवा पुरंध्या । वयं शविष्ठ वार्यं दिवि श्रवो दधीमहि दिवि स्तोमं मनामहे ॥
Come, Indra, to us; defend by your providence our car; we contemplate in you who, most mighty one, are divine, all desirable vigour; (to you), who are divine, we offer praise.
