ग॒व्यन्त॒ इन्द्रं॑ स॒ख्याय॒ विप्रा॑ अश्वा॒यन्तो॒ वृष॑णं वा॒जय॑न्तः । ज॒नी॒यन्तो॑ जनि॒दामक्षि॑तोति॒मा च्या॑वयामोऽव॒ते न कोश॑म् ॥ गव्यन्त इन्द्रं सख्याय विप्रा अश्वायन्तो वृषणं वाजयन्तः । जनीयन्तो जनिदामक्षितोतिमा च्यावयामोऽवते न कोशम् ॥
May we (who are) wishing for cattle, for horses, for food, for wives, through his friendship induce Indra, the showerer (of benefits), the giver of wives, the unwearied granter of protection, to come down, as a bucket (is lowered) into a well.
english translation
त्रा॒ता नो॑ बोधि॒ ददृ॑शान आ॒पिर॑भिख्या॒ता म॑र्डि॒ता सो॒म्याना॑म् । सखा॑ पि॒ता पि॒तृत॑मः पितॄ॒णां कर्ते॑मु लो॒कमु॑श॒ते व॑यो॒धाः ॥ त्राता नो बोधि ददृशान आपिरभिख्याता मर्डिता सोम्यानाम् । सखा पिता पितृतमः पितॄणां कर्तेमु लोकमुशते वयोधाः ॥
Be our preserver, you who are looking (benevolently upon) all; a kinsman (to us); a supervisor (of all things), a bestower of felicity on those who are worthy (to offer) libations; a friend, a protector, a defender in the highest degree among defenders, a creator; (be you, who bestows) the world of heaven upon him who desires it, the giver to us of food.

स॒खी॒य॒ताम॑वि॒ता बो॑धि॒ सखा॑ गृणा॒न इ॑न्द्र स्तुव॒ते वयो॑ धाः । व॒यं ह्या ते॑ चकृ॒मा स॒बाध॑ आ॒भिः शमी॑भिर्म॒हय॑न्त इन्द्र ॥ सखीयतामविता बोधि सखा गृणान इन्द्र स्तुवते वयो धाः । वयं ह्या ते चकृमा सबाध आभिः शमीभिर्महयन्त इन्द्र ॥
Regard yourself as a protector of those who desire your friendship; be a friend deserving of commendation; grant, Indra, food to him who praises (you); suffering difficulties, we make our suppications to you, worshipping you with these holy rites.
english translation
स्तु॒त इन्द्रो॑ म॒घवा॒ यद्ध॑ वृ॒त्रा भूरी॒ण्येको॑ अप्र॒तीनि॑ हन्ति । अ॒स्य प्रि॒यो ज॑रि॒ता यस्य॒ शर्म॒न्नकि॑र्दे॒वा वा॒रय॑न्ते॒ न मर्ता॑: ॥ स्तुत इन्द्रो मघवा यद्ध वृत्रा भूरीण्येको अप्रतीनि हन्ति । अस्य प्रियो जरिता यस्य शर्मन्नकिर्देवा वारयन्ते न मर्ताः ॥
When Indra, the possessor of opulence, is glorified, he singly destroys many unyielding foes; the worshipper is dear to him (who relies) on his protection, and neither gods nor men molest him.

ए॒वा न॒ इन्द्रो॑ म॒घवा॑ विर॒प्शी कर॑त्स॒त्या च॑र्षणी॒धृद॑न॒र्वा । त्वं राजा॑ ज॒नुषां॑ धेह्य॒स्मे अधि॒ श्रवो॒ माहि॑नं॒ यज्ज॑रि॒त्रे ॥ एवा न इन्द्रो मघवा विरप्शी करत्सत्या चर्षणीधृदनर्वा । त्वं राजा जनुषां धेह्यस्मे अधि श्रवो माहिनं यज्जरित्रे ॥
The many-voiced Indra, the possessor of opulence, the supporter of men, the irresistible bestows upon us, when praised by us, assured (rewards); you, (Indra), are the king of men; grant to us abundantly that great fame which (is due) to (your) worshipper.
