उ॒षस॒: पूर्वा॒ अध॒ यद्व्यू॒षुर्म॒हद्वि ज॑ज्ञे अ॒क्षरं॑ प॒दे गोः । व्र॒ता दे॒वाना॒मुप॒ नु प्र॒भूष॑न्म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ उषसः पूर्वा अध यद्व्यूषुर्महद्वि जज्ञे अक्षरं पदे गोः । व्रता देवानामुप नु प्रभूषन्महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
When the preceding dawns appear, the great imperishable (light) is engendered in the (firmament, the) sphere of the waters, and then the worshipper is alert to perform the rites (due to) the gods, for great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
english translation
मो षू णो॒ अत्र॑ जुहुरन्त दे॒वा मा पूर्वे॑ अग्ने पि॒तर॑: पद॒ज्ञाः । पु॒रा॒ण्योः सद्म॑नोः के॒तुर॒न्तर्म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ मो षू णो अत्र जुहुरन्त देवा मा पूर्वे अग्ने पितरः पदज्ञाः । पुराण्योः सद्मनोः केतुरन्तर्महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
Let not the gods, Agni, now do us harm, nor the ancient progenitors, who have come to know the degree (of divinity); nor the manifester of light between the two ancient dwellings (earth and heaven, the sun); for great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
english translation
वि मे॑ पुरु॒त्रा प॑तयन्ति॒ कामा॒: शम्यच्छा॑ दीद्ये पू॒र्व्याणि॑ । समि॑द्धे अ॒ग्नावृ॒तमिद्व॑देम म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ वि मे पुरुत्रा पतयन्ति कामाः शम्यच्छा दीद्ये पूर्व्याणि । समिद्धे अग्नावृतमिद्वदेम महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
Variously do my manifold desires alight; present at the solemnity, I recite ancient (hymns); when the fire is kindled we speak indeed the truth, for great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
english translation
स॒मा॒नो राजा॒ विभृ॑तः पुरु॒त्रा शये॑ श॒यासु॒ प्रयु॑तो॒ वनानु॑ । अ॒न्या व॒त्सं भर॑ति॒ क्षेति॑ मा॒ता म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ समानो राजा विभृतः पुरुत्रा शये शयासु प्रयुतो वनानु । अन्या वत्सं भरति क्षेति माता महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
The universal sovereign is conveyed to many directions; he sleeps in the plural ces of repose; he is connected with the forests; one mother (heaven) nourishes the child; the other (earth) gives him a dwelling; great and unequalled is the might of the gods.

आ॒क्षित्पूर्वा॒स्वप॑रा अनू॒रुत्स॒द्यो जा॒तासु॒ तरु॑णीष्व॒न्तः । अ॒न्तर्व॑तीः सुवते॒ अप्र॑वीता म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ आक्षित्पूर्वास्वपरा अनूरुत्सद्यो जातासु तरुणीष्वन्तः । अन्तर्वतीः सुवते अप्रवीता महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
Existing in ancient plural nts, abiding afterwards in new, he enters into the young (herbs) as soon as they are produced; unimpregnated they become pregnant and bear fruit; great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
