च॒र्ष॒णी॒धृतं॑ म॒घवा॑नमु॒क्थ्य१॒॑मिन्द्रं॒ गिरो॑ बृह॒तीर॒भ्य॑नूषत । वा॒वृ॒धा॒नं पु॑रुहू॒तं सु॑वृ॒क्तिभि॒रम॑र्त्यं॒ जर॑माणं दि॒वेदि॑वे ॥ चर्षणीधृतं मघवानमुक्थ्यमिन्द्रं गिरो बृहतीरभ्यनूषत । वावृधानं पुरुहूतं सुवृक्तिभिरमर्त्यं जरमाणं दिवेदिवे ॥

Let abundant praises celebrate Indra, the stay of man, the possessor of opulence, the adorable, prospering with increase, the invoked of many, the immortal, who is daily to be propitiated with sacred hymns.

श॒तक्र॑तुमर्ण॒वं शा॒किनं॒ नरं॒ गिरो॑ म॒ इन्द्र॒मुप॑ यन्ति वि॒श्वत॑: । वा॒ज॒सनिं॑ पू॒र्भिदं॒ तूर्णि॑म॒प्तुरं॑ धाम॒साच॑मभि॒षाचं॑ स्व॒र्विद॑म् ॥ शतक्रतुमर्णवं शाकिनं नरं गिरो म इन्द्रमुप यन्ति विश्वतः । वाजसनिं पूर्भिदं तूर्णिमप्तुरं धामसाचमभिषाचं स्वर्विदम् ॥

My praises constantly propitiate Indra, the object of many rites, the sender of rain, attended by the Maruts, the leader (of all), the giver of food, the destroyer of cities, the swift (in combat), the prompt (dispenser) of waters, the distributor of riches, the subduer of foes, the conferrer of heaven.

आ॒क॒रे वसो॑र्जरि॒ता प॑नस्यतेऽने॒हस॒: स्तुभ॒ इन्द्रो॑ दुवस्यति । वि॒वस्व॑त॒: सद॑न॒ आ हि पि॑प्रि॒ये स॑त्रा॒साह॑मभिमाति॒हनं॑ स्तुहि ॥ आकरे वसोर्जरिता पनस्यतेऽनेहसः स्तुभ इन्द्रो दुवस्यति । विवस्वतः सदन आ हि पिप्रिये सत्रासाहमभिमातिहनं स्तुहि ॥

Indra, the enfeebler (of adversaries), is praised as a mine of wealth; he is propitiated by righteous commendations; he is gratified in the dwelling of the offerer of oblations; glorify Indra, the conqueror, the destroyer of his enemies.

A॒ka॒re vaso॑rjari॒tA pa॑nasyate'ne॒hasa॒: stubha॒ indro॑ duvasyati | vi॒vasva॑ta॒: sada॑na॒ A hi pi॑pri॒ye sa॑trA॒sAha॑mabhimAti॒hanaM॑ stuhi || Akare vasorjaritA panasyate'nehasaH stubha indro duvasyati | vivasvataH sadana A hi pipriye satrAsAhamabhimAtihanaM stuhi ||

नृ॒णामु॑ त्वा॒ नृत॑मं गी॒र्भिरु॒क्थैर॒भि प्र वी॒रम॑र्चता स॒बाध॑: । सं सह॑से पुरुमा॒यो जि॑हीते॒ नमो॑ अस्य प्र॒दिव॒ एक॑ ईशे ॥ नृणामु त्वा नृतमं गीर्भिरुक्थैरभि प्र वीरमर्चता सबाधः । सं सहसे पुरुमायो जिहीते नमो अस्य प्रदिव एक ईशे ॥

The priests glorify you, heroic leader of men, with praises and with prayers; Indra, the author of many delusions, exerts himself for (the acquisition of) strength; he from of old is the lord of this (oblation).

पू॒र्वीर॑स्य नि॒ष्षिधो॒ मर्त्ये॑षु पु॒रू वसू॑नि पृथि॒वी बि॑भर्ति । इन्द्रा॑य॒ द्याव॒ ओष॑धीरु॒तापो॑ र॒यिं र॑क्षन्ति जी॒रयो॒ वना॑नि ॥ पूर्वीरस्य निष्षिधो मर्त्येषु पुरू वसूनि पृथिवी बिभर्ति । इन्द्राय द्याव ओषधीरुतापो रयिं रक्षन्ति जीरयो वनानि ॥

Many are his prohibitions (against evil enjoined) to men; many are the treasures that the earth enshrines; for Indra the heavens, the plural nts, the waters, men and priests, preserve their riches.
