आ म॒न्द्रस्य॑ सनि॒ष्यन्तो॒ वरे॑ण्यं वृणी॒महे॒ अह्र॑यं॒ वाज॑मृ॒ग्मिय॑म् । रा॒तिं भृगू॑णामु॒शिजं॑ क॒विक्र॑तुम॒ग्निं राज॑न्तं दि॒व्येन॑ शो॒चिषा॑ ॥ आ मन्द्रस्य सनिष्यन्तो वरेण्यं वृणीमहे अह्रयं वाजमृग्मियम् । रातिं भृगूणामुशिजं कविक्रतुमग्निं राजन्तं दिव्येन शोचिषा ॥
Desiring excellent food, inflicting no disgrace, we solicit the boon of the adorable (Vaiśvānara) from Agni, the benefactor of the Bhṛgus, the object of our desires, who is acquainted with past acts, and shines with celestial splendour.
