उपे॑मसृक्षि वाज॒युर्व॑च॒स्यां चनो॑ दधीत ना॒द्यो गिरो॑ मे । अ॒पां नपा॑दाशु॒हेमा॑ कु॒वित्स सु॒पेश॑सस्करति॒ जोषि॑ष॒द्धि ॥ उपेमसृक्षि वाजयुर्वचस्यां चनो दधीत नाद्यो गिरो मे । अपां नपादाशुहेमा कुवित्स सुपेशसस्करति जोषिषद्धि ॥

Desiring food, I put forth this laudatory hymn; may the sounding and swift-moving grandson of the waters bestow abundant food upon me his worshipper; may he make us of goodly appearance, for verily he is propitiated by praise.

इ॒मं स्व॑स्मै हृ॒द आ सुत॑ष्टं॒ मन्त्रं॑ वोचेम कु॒विद॑स्य॒ वेद॑त् । अ॒पां नपा॑दसु॒र्य॑स्य म॒ह्ना विश्वा॑न्य॒र्यो भुव॑ना जजान ॥ इमं स्वस्मै हृद आ सुतष्टं मन्त्रं वोचेम कुविदस्य वेदत् । अपां नपादसुर्यस्य मह्ना विश्वान्यर्यो भुवना जजान ॥

Let us address to him the prayer that is conceived in our hearts, and may he fully understand (its purport); for he, the lord, the grandson of the waters, has genitive rated all beings by the greatness of his might.

i॒maM sva॑smai hR॒da A suta॑STaM॒ mantraM॑ vocema ku॒vida॑sya॒ veda॑t | a॒pAM napA॑dasu॒rya॑sya ma॒hnA vizvA॑nya॒ryo bhuva॑nA jajAna || imaM svasmai hRda A sutaSTaM mantraM vocema kuvidasya vedat | apAM napAdasuryasya mahnA vizvAnyaryo bhuvanA jajAna ||

सम॒न्या यन्त्युप॑ यन्त्य॒न्याः स॑मा॒नमू॒र्वं न॒द्य॑: पृणन्ति । तमू॒ शुचिं॒ शुच॑यो दीदि॒वांस॑म॒पां नपा॑तं॒ परि॑ तस्थु॒राप॑: ॥ समन्या यन्त्युप यन्त्यन्याः समानमूर्वं नद्यः पृणन्ति । तमू शुचिं शुचयो दीदिवांसमपां नपातं परि तस्थुरापः ॥

Some waters collect together (from the rain); others, (already collected on earth), unite with them; as rivers, they flow together to propitiate the ocean-fire; the pure waters are gathered round the pure and brilliant grandsons of the waters.

sama॒nyA yantyupa॑ yantya॒nyAH sa॑mA॒namU॒rvaM na॒dya॑: pRNanti | tamU॒ zuciM॒ zuca॑yo dIdi॒vAMsa॑ma॒pAM napA॑taM॒ pari॑ tasthu॒rApa॑: || samanyA yantyupa yantyanyAH samAnamUrvaM nadyaH pRNanti | tamU zuciM zucayo dIdivAMsamapAM napAtaM pari tasthurApaH ||

तमस्मे॑रा युव॒तयो॒ युवा॑नं मर्मृ॒ज्यमा॑ना॒: परि॑ य॒न्त्याप॑: । स शु॒क्रेभि॒: शिक्व॑भी रे॒वद॒स्मे दी॒दाया॑नि॒ध्मो घृ॒तनि॑र्णिग॒प्सु ॥ तमस्मेरा युवतयो युवानं मर्मृज्यमानाः परि यन्त्यापः । स शुक्रेभिः शिक्वभी रेवदस्मे दीदायानिध्मो घृतनिर्णिगप्सु ॥

The young and modest (waters) wait upon the youth, assiduous in bathing him, and he, although unfed with fuel, yet cleansed with clarified butter, shines with bright rays amidst the waters, the abundance (may be) to us.

tamasme॑rA yuva॒tayo॒ yuvA॑naM marmR॒jyamA॑nA॒: pari॑ ya॒ntyApa॑: | sa zu॒krebhi॒: zikva॑bhI re॒vada॒sme dI॒dAyA॑ni॒dhmo ghR॒tani॑rNiga॒psu || tamasmerA yuvatayo yuvAnaM marmRjyamAnAH pari yantyApaH | sa zukrebhiH zikvabhI revadasme dIdAyAnidhmo ghRtanirNigapsu ||

अ॒स्मै ति॒स्रो अ॑व्य॒थ्याय॒ नारी॑र्दे॒वाय॑ दे॒वीर्दि॑धिष॒न्त्यन्न॑म् । कृता॑ इ॒वोप॒ हि प्र॑स॒र्स्रे अ॒प्सु स पी॒यूषं॑ धयति पूर्व॒सूना॑म् ॥ अस्मै तिस्रो अव्यथ्याय नारीर्देवाय देवीर्दिधिषन्त्यन्नम् । कृता इवोप हि प्रसर्स्रे अप्सु स पीयूषं धयति पूर्वसूनाम् ॥

Three divine feminine les present food to that uninjurable divinity; as if formed in the waters they spread abroad, and he drinks the ambrosia of the first-created (elements).
