इ॒दं क॒वेरा॑दि॒त्यस्य॑ स्व॒राजो॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ सान्त्य॒भ्य॑स्तु म॒ह्ना । अति॒ यो म॒न्द्रो य॒जथा॑य दे॒वः सु॑की॒र्तिं भि॑क्षे॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ भूरे॑: ॥ इदं कवेरादित्यस्य स्वराजो विश्वानि सान्त्यभ्यस्तु मह्ना । अति यो मन्द्रो यजथाय देवः सुकीर्तिं भिक्षे वरुणस्य भूरेः ॥
(The worshipper repeats) this praise of the sage; the self-radiant Āditya; may he preside over all beings by his power; I beg for fame of the sovereign Varuṇa, a deity who, when much plural ased (is propitious) to hsi adorer.
english translation
तव॑ व्र॒ते सु॒भगा॑सः स्याम स्वा॒ध्यो॑ वरुण तुष्टु॒वांस॑: । उ॒पाय॑न उ॒षसां॒ गोम॑तीनाम॒ग्नयो॒ न जर॑माणा॒ अनु॒ द्यून् ॥ तव व्रते सुभगासः स्याम स्वाध्यो वरुण तुष्टुवांसः । उपायन उषसां गोमतीनामग्नयो न जरमाणा अनु द्यून् ॥
May we, Varuṇa, deeply meditating on you, earnestly praising you, and (engaged) in your worship, be prosperous; glorifying you daily, like the fires (that are kindled in your honour) at the coming of the luminous dawns.
english translation
तव॑ स्याम पुरु॒वीर॑स्य॒ शर्म॑न्नुरु॒शंस॑स्य वरुण प्रणेतः । यू॒यं न॑: पुत्रा अदितेरदब्धा अ॒भि क्ष॑मध्वं॒ युज्या॑य देवाः ॥ तव स्याम पुरुवीरस्य शर्मन्नुरुशंसस्य वरुण प्रणेतः । यूयं नः पुत्रा अदितेरदब्धा अभि क्षमध्वं युज्याय देवाः ॥
Varuṇa, chief guide (of men), may we abide in the felicity of you, who are endowed with great powers, and are glorified by many; divine sons of Aditi, unharmed (by foes), have compassion upon us through your benevolence.
english translation
प्र सी॑मादि॒त्यो अ॑सृजद्विध॒र्ताँ ऋ॒तं सिन्ध॑वो॒ वरु॑णस्य यन्ति । न श्रा॑म्यन्ति॒ न वि मु॑चन्त्ये॒ते वयो॒ न प॑प्तू रघु॒या परि॑ज्मन् ॥ प्र सीमादित्यो असृजद्विधर्ताँ ऋतं सिन्धवो वरुणस्य यन्ति । न श्राम्यन्ति न वि मुचन्त्येते वयो न पप्तू रघुया परिज्मन् ॥
The Āditya, the upholder, has created all this water; the rivers flow by the power of Varuṇa; they never weary, they never stop; they have descended with swiftness, like birds upon the circumambient (earth).
english translation
वि मच्छ्र॑थाय रश॒नामि॒वाग॑ ऋ॒ध्याम॑ ते वरुण॒ खामृ॒तस्य॑ । मा तन्तु॑श्छेदि॒ वय॑तो॒ धियं॑ मे॒ मा मात्रा॑ शार्य॒पस॑: पु॒र ऋ॒तोः ॥ वि मच्छ्रथाय रशनामिवाग ऋध्याम ते वरुण खामृतस्य । मा तन्तुश्छेदि वयतो धियं मे मा मात्रा शार्यपसः पुर ऋतोः ॥
Cast off from me sin, Varuṇa, as if it were a rope; may we obtain from you a channel (filled) with water; cut not the thread of me (engaged in) weaving pious works; blight not the elements of holy rites before the season (of their maturity).
