मा प्र गा॑म प॒थो व॒यं मा य॒ज्ञादि॑न्द्र सो॒मिन॑: । मान्त स्थु॑र्नो॒ अरा॑तयः ॥ मा प्र गाम पथो वयं मा यज्ञादिन्द्र सोमिनः । मान्त स्थुर्नो अरातयः ॥
Let us not depart, Indra, from the path; let us not (depart) from the sacrifice of the offerer of the libation; let not our adversaries remain (in our place).

यो य॒ज्ञस्य॑ प्र॒साध॑न॒स्तन्तु॑र्दे॒वेष्वात॑तः । तमाहु॑तं नशीमहि ॥ यो यज्ञस्य प्रसाधनस्तन्तुर्देवेष्वाततः । तमाहुतं नशीमहि ॥
May we obtain (the favour of) him to whom burnt offerings are presented, (Agni), who is the thread, theperfecter of sacrifice, drawn out (by the priests) to the gods.

मनो॒ न्वा हु॑वामहे नाराशं॒सेन॒ सोमे॑न । पि॒तॄ॒णां च॒ मन्म॑भिः ॥ मनो न्वा हुवामहे नाराशंसेन सोमेन । पितॄणां च मन्मभिः ॥
We call upon the spirit (of Subandhu) with the Soma appropriated to the progenitors, with the praisesepithet of the Soma. Yajus. 3.53 reads stomena: praise is of to kinds, that of gods and men, the latter isnārāśamsaḥ, whence the epithet narāśaṃsa means, suited to man; that is, to deified men or pitṛs.

आ त॑ एतु॒ मन॒: पुन॒: क्रत्वे॒ दक्षा॑य जी॒वसे॑ । ज्योक्च॒ सूर्यं॑ दृ॒शे ॥ आ त एतु मनः पुनः क्रत्वे दक्षाय जीवसे । ज्योक्च सूर्यं दृशे ॥
May (your) spirit (Subandhu) come back again to perform pious acts; to exercise strength; to live; and long to see the sun.

पुन॑र्नः पितरो॒ मनो॒ ददा॑तु॒ दैव्यो॒ जन॑: । जी॒वं व्रातं॑ सचेमहि ॥ पुनर्नः पितरो मनो ददातु दैव्यो जनः । जीवं व्रातं सचेमहि ॥
May our progenitors, may the host of the gods, restore (your) spirit; may we obtain (for you) the aggregate of the functions of life.
