उदी॑रता॒मव॑र॒ उत्परा॑स॒ उन्म॑ध्य॒माः पि॒तर॑: सो॒म्यास॑: । असुं॒ य ई॒युर॑वृ॒का ऋ॑त॒ज्ञास्ते नो॑ऽवन्तु पि॒तरो॒ हवे॑षु ॥ उदीरतामवर उत्परास उन्मध्यमाः पितरः सोम्यासः । असुं य ईयुरवृका ऋतज्ञास्ते नोऽवन्तु पितरो हवेषु ॥
Let the lower, the upper, the intermediate Pitṛs, rise up, accepting the Soma libation; may thoseprogenitors who, unlike wolves, acknowledging our offerings, have come to preserve our lives, protect us uponour invocations.

इ॒दं पि॒तृभ्यो॒ नमो॑ अस्त्व॒द्य ये पूर्वा॑सो॒ य उप॑रास ई॒युः । ये पार्थि॑वे॒ रज॒स्या निष॑त्ता॒ ये वा॑ नू॒नं सु॑वृ॒जना॑सु वि॒क्षु ॥ इदं पितृभ्यो नमो अस्त्वद्य ये पूर्वासो य उपरास ईयुः । ये पार्थिवे रजस्या निषत्ता ये वा नूनं सुवृजनासु विक्षु ॥
Let this our adoration be today addressed to those Pitṛs our predecessors, to those our successors,who have departed (to the world of the manes); to those who are seated in the terrestrial sphere, to those whoare present among opulent people.

आहं पि॒तॄन्त्सु॑वि॒दत्राँ॑ अवित्सि॒ नपा॑तं च वि॒क्रम॑णं च॒ विष्णो॑: । ब॒र्हि॒षदो॒ ये स्व॒धया॑ सु॒तस्य॒ भज॑न्त पि॒त्वस्त इ॒हाग॑मिष्ठाः ॥ आहं पितॄन्त्सुविदत्राँ अवित्सि नपातं च विक्रमणं च विष्णोः । बर्हिषदो ये स्वधया सुतस्य भजन्त पित्वस्त इहागमिष्ठाः ॥
I have brought to my presence the Pitṛs who are well cognizant (of my worship), the infallibility, andfood of the effused (Soma) with the sacrificial cake.

बर्हि॑षदः पितर ऊ॒त्य१॒॑र्वागि॒मा वो॑ ह॒व्या च॑कृमा जु॒षध्व॑म् । त आ ग॒ताव॑सा॒ शंत॑मे॒नाथा॑ न॒: शं योर॑र॒पो द॑धात ॥ बर्हिषदः पितर ऊत्यर्वागिमा वो हव्या चकृमा जुषध्वम् । त आ गतावसा शंतमेनाथा नः शं योररपो दधात ॥
Pitṛs, Barhiṣads, protect (us who are) in your presence; we have made these oblations for you,accept them; come with your most felicitous protection, and bestow upon us health and happiness; and pardon from sin.

उप॑हूताः पि॒तर॑: सो॒म्यासो॑ बर्हि॒ष्ये॑षु नि॒धिषु॑ प्रि॒येषु॑ । त आ ग॑मन्तु॒ त इ॒ह श्रु॑व॒न्त्वधि॑ ब्रुवन्तु॒ ते॑ऽवन्त्व॒स्मान् ॥ उपहूताः पितरः सोम्यासो बर्हिष्येषु निधिषु प्रियेषु । त आ गमन्तु त इह श्रुवन्त्वधि ब्रुवन्तु तेऽवन्त्वस्मान् ॥
May the Pitṛs who are entitled to the Soma come, when invoked by us, to the agreeable treasuresconnected with the sacred grass; let them here listen (to our praises), let them speak (their approbation in reply);let them protect us.
