व्यू॒र्ण्व॒ती दि॒वो अन्ताँ॑ अबो॒ध्यप॒ स्वसा॑रं सनु॒तर्यु॑योति । प्र॒मि॒न॒ती म॑नु॒ष्या॑ यु॒गानि॒ योषा॑ जा॒रस्य॒ चक्ष॑सा॒ वि भा॑ति ॥ व्यूर्ण्वती दिवो अन्ताँ अबोध्यप स्वसारं सनुतर्युयोति । प्रमिनती मनुष्या युगानि योषा जारस्य चक्षसा वि भाति ॥
She has been seen illuminating the boundaries of the sky, and driving into disappearance the spontaneously-retiring (night); wearing away the ages of the human race, she shines with light like the bride of the sun.
english translation
प॒शून्न चि॒त्रा सु॒भगा॑ प्रथा॒ना सिन्धु॒र्न क्षोद॑ उर्वि॒या व्य॑श्वैत् । अमि॑नती॒ दैव्या॑नि व्र॒तानि॒ सूर्य॑स्य चेति र॒श्मिभि॑र्दृशा॒ना ॥ पशून्न चित्रा सुभगा प्रथाना सिन्धुर्न क्षोद उर्विया व्यश्वैत् । अमिनती दैव्यानि व्रतानि सूर्यस्य चेति रश्मिभिर्दृशाना ॥
The affluent and adorable Uṣas has sent her rays abroad, as (a cowherd drives) the cattle (to pasture), and spreads expansive, like flowing water; she is beheld associated with the rays of the sun, unimpeding sacred ceremonies.
english translation
उष॒स्तच्चि॒त्रमा भ॑रा॒स्मभ्यं॑ वाजिनीवति । येन॑ तो॒कं च॒ तन॑यं च॒ धाम॑हे ॥ उषस्तच्चित्रमा भरास्मभ्यं वाजिनीवति । येन तोकं च तनयं च धामहे ॥
Uṣas, possessor of food, bring us that various wealth by which we may sustain sons and grandsons.
english translation
उषो॑ अ॒द्येह गो॑म॒त्यश्वा॑वति विभावरि । रे॒वद॒स्मे व्यु॑च्छ सूनृतावति ॥ उषो अद्येह गोमत्यश्वावति विभावरि । रेवदस्मे व्युच्छ सूनृतावति ॥
Luminous Uṣas, possessor of cows and horses, true of speech, dawn here today upon this (ceremony), that is to bring us wealth.
english translation
यु॒क्ष्वा हि वा॑जिनीव॒त्यश्वाँ॑ अ॒द्यारु॒णाँ उ॑षः । अथा॑ नो॒ विश्वा॒ सौभ॑गा॒न्या व॑ह ॥ युक्ष्वा हि वाजिनीवत्यश्वाँ अद्यारुणाँ उषः । अथा नो विश्वा सौभगान्या वह ॥
Possessor of food, Uṣas, yoke, indeed, today your purple steeds and bring to us all good things.
