जु॒षस्व॑ स॒प्रथ॑स्तमं॒ वचो॑ दे॒वप्स॑रस्तमम् । ह॒व्या जुह्वा॑न आ॒सनि॑ ॥ जुषस्व सप्रथस्तमं वचो देवप्सरस्तमम् । हव्या जुह्वान आसनि ॥
Accept our most exhaustive prayers, propitiatory of the gods, accepting our oblations in your mouth.
english translation
अथा॑ ते अङ्गिरस्त॒माग्ने॑ वेधस्तम प्रि॒यम् । वो॒चेम॒ ब्रह्म॑ सान॒सि ॥ अथा ते अङ्गिरस्तमाग्ने वेधस्तम प्रियम् । वोचेम ब्रह्म सानसि ॥
And then, most wise Agni, chief of the Aṅgiras, may we address (to you) an acceptable and gratifying prayer.
english translation
कस्ते॑ जा॒मिर्जना॑ना॒मग्ने॒ को दा॒श्व॑ध्वरः । को ह॒ कस्मि॑न्नसि श्रि॒तः ॥ कस्ते जामिर्जनानामग्ने को दाश्वध्वरः । को ह कस्मिन्नसि श्रितः ॥
Who, Agni, is your kinsman amongst people? Who is worthy to offer you sacrifice? Who, indeed, are you and where do you abide?
english translation
त्वं जा॒मिर्जना॑ना॒मग्ने॑ मि॒त्रो अ॑सि प्रि॒यः । सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य॒ ईड्य॑: ॥ त्वं जामिर्जनानामग्ने मित्रो असि प्रियः । सखा सखिभ्य ईड्यः ॥
You, Agni, are the kinsman of people. You are the protector of sacrificers. You are extolled by priests, since you are the friend of all.
english translation
यजा॑ नो मि॒त्रावरु॑णा॒ यजा॑ दे॒वाँ ऋ॒तं बृ॒हत् । अग्ने॒ यक्षि॒ स्वं दम॑म् ॥ यजा नो मित्रावरुणा यजा देवाँ ऋतं बृहत् । अग्ने यक्षि स्वं दमम् ॥
Worship for us, Mitra and Varuṇa; worship for us, all the gods; (celebrate) a great sacrifice; be present in your own dwelling.
