इन्द्र॒मिद्गा॒थिनो॑ बृ॒हदिन्द्र॑म॒र्केभि॑र॒र्किण॑: । इन्द्रं॒ वाणी॑रनूषत ॥ इन्द्रमिद्गाथिनो बृहदिन्द्रमर्केभिरर्किणः । इन्द्रं वाणीरनूषत ॥
The chanters (of the Soma) extol Indra with songs, the reciters of the Ṛk with prayers, the priests of the Yajuṣ, with texts.
english translation
इन्द्र॒ इद्धर्यो॒: सचा॒ सम्मि॑श्ल॒ आ व॑चो॒युजा॑ । इन्द्रो॑ व॒ज्री हि॑र॒ण्यय॑: ॥ इन्द्र इद्धर्योः सचा सम्मिश्ल आ वचोयुजा । इन्द्रो वज्री हिरण्ययः ॥
Indra, the blender of all things, comes verily with his steeds that are harnessed at his word; Indra, the richly-decorated, the wielder of the thunderbolt.
english translation
इन्द्रो॑ दी॒र्घाय॒ चक्ष॑स॒ आ सूर्यं॑ रोहयद्दि॒वि । वि गोभि॒रद्रि॑मैरयत् ॥ इन्द्रो दीर्घाय चक्षस आ सूर्यं रोहयद्दिवि । वि गोभिरद्रिमैरयत् ॥
Indra, to render all things visible, elevated the sun in the sky, and charged the cloud with (abundant) waters.
english translation
इन्द्र॒ वाजे॑षु नोऽव स॒हस्र॑प्रधनेषु च । उ॒ग्र उ॒ग्राभि॑रू॒तिभि॑: ॥ इन्द्र वाजेषु नोऽव सहस्रप्रधनेषु च । उग्र उग्राभिरूतिभिः ॥
Invincible Indra, protect us in battles abounding in spoil, with insuperable defenceṣ .
english translation
इन्द्रं॑ व॒यं म॑हाध॒न इन्द्र॒मर्भे॑ हवामहे । युजं॑ वृ॒त्रेषु॑ व॒ज्रिण॑म् ॥ इन्द्रं वयं महाधन इन्द्रमर्भे हवामहे । युजं वृत्रेषु वज्रिणम् ॥
We invoke Indra for great affluence, Indra for limited wealth; (our) ally, and wielder of the thunder-bolt against (our) enemies.
