नि त्वा॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॒ साध॑न॒मग्ने॒ होता॑रमृ॒त्विज॑म् । म॒नु॒ष्वद्दे॑व धीमहि॒ प्रचे॑तसं जी॒रं दू॒तमम॑र्त्यम् ॥ नि त्वा यज्ञस्य साधनमग्ने होतारमृत्विजम् । मनुष्वद्देव धीमहि प्रचेतसं जीरं दूतममर्त्यम् ॥
We plural ce you, Agni, as Manu plural ced you, who are the implement of sacrifice, the invoker, the ministering priest, very wise, the destroyer (of foes), immortal, the messenger (of the gods).

ni tvA॑ ya॒jJasya॒ sAdha॑na॒magne॒ hotA॑ramR॒tvija॑m । ma॒nu॒Svadde॑va dhImahi॒ prace॑tasaM jI॒raM dU॒tamama॑rtyam ॥ ni tvA yajJasya sAdhanamagne hotAramRtvijam । manuSvaddeva dhImahi pracetasaM jIraM dUtamamartyam ॥

When, cherisher of friends, you are present as the Purohita at a sacrifice, and discharge the mission of the gods, then your flames roar like the resounding billows of the ocean.

yadde॒vAnAM॑ mitramahaH pu॒rohi॒to'nta॑ro॒ yAsi॑ dU॒tya॑m । sindho॑riva॒ prasva॑nitAsa U॒rmayo॒'gnerbhrA॑jante a॒rcaya॑: ॥ yaddevAnAM mitramahaH purohito'ntaro yAsi dUtyam । sindhoriva prasvanitAsa Urmayo'gnerbhrAjante arcayaH ॥

Agni, with sharp ears, hear me; let Mitra and Aryaman, and Aryaman, and (other) early-stirring deities, with all the accompanying oblation-bearing gods, sit down at the sacrifice upon the sacred grass.

zru॒dhi zru॑tkarNa॒ vahni॑bhirde॒vaira॑gne sa॒yAva॑bhiH । A sI॑dantu ba॒rhiSi॑ mi॒tro a॑rya॒mA prA॑ta॒ryAvA॑No adhva॒ram ॥ zrudhi zrutkarNa vahnibhirdevairagne sayAvabhiH । A sIdantu barhiSi mitro aryamA prAtaryAvANo adhvaram ॥

Let the munificent Maruts, who have tongues of fire, and are encouragers of sacrifice, hear our praise; let the rite-fulfilling Varuṇa, with the Aśvins, and with Uṣas, drink the Soma juice.
