सं पू॑ष॒न्नध्व॑नस्तिर॒ व्यंहो॑ विमुचो नपात् । सक्ष्वा॑ देव॒ प्र ण॑स्पु॒रः ॥ सं पूषन्नध्वनस्तिर व्यंहो विमुचो नपात् । सक्ष्वा देव प्र णस्पुरः ॥
Pūṣanm convey us over the road, remove the wicked (obsructer of the way). Son of the cloud, deity, go before us.
english translation
यो न॑: पूषन्न॒घो वृको॑ दु॒:शेव॑ आ॒दिदे॑शति । अप॑ स्म॒ तं प॒थो ज॑हि ॥ यो नः पूषन्नघो वृको दुःशेव आदिदेशति । अप स्म तं पथो जहि ॥
If a wicked (adversary), Pūṣan, a robber, or one who delights in evil, points out to us (the way we ought not to go), do you drive him from the road.
english translation
अप॒ त्यं प॑रिप॒न्थिनं॑ मुषी॒वाणं॑ हुर॒श्चित॑म् । दू॒रमधि॑ स्रु॒तेर॑ज ॥ अप त्यं परिपन्थिनं मुषीवाणं हुरश्चितम् । दूरमधि स्रुतेरज ॥
Drive him far away, apart fom the road, the hinderer of our journey, a thief, a deceiver.
english translation
त्वं तस्य॑ द्वया॒विनो॒ऽघशं॑सस्य॒ कस्य॑ चित् । प॒दाभि ति॑ष्ठ॒ तपु॑षिम् ॥ त्वं तस्य द्वयाविनोऽघशंसस्य कस्य चित् । पदाभि तिष्ठ तपुषिम् ॥
Trample with your feet upon the mischievous (body) of that evil-minded pilferer of both (what is present and what is absent), whoever he be.
english translation
आ तत्ते॑ दस्र मन्तुम॒: पूष॒न्नवो॑ वृणीमहे । येन॑ पि॒तॄनचो॑दयः ॥ आ तत्ते दस्र मन्तुमः पूषन्नवो वृणीमहे । येन पितॄनचोदयः ॥
Sagacious and handsome Pūṣan, we solicit of you that protection wherewith you have encouraged the patriarchs.
