इन्द्रं॒ विश्वा॑ अवीवृधन्त्समु॒द्रव्य॑चसं॒ गिर॑: । र॒थीत॑मं र॒थीनां॒ वाजा॑नां॒ सत्प॑तिं॒ पति॑म् ॥ इन्द्रं विश्वा अवीवृधन्त्समुद्रव्यचसं गिरः । रथीतमं रथीनां वाजानां सत्पतिं पतिम् ॥
All our praises magnify Indra, expansive as the ocean, the most valiant of warriors who fight in chariots, the lord of food, the protector of the virtuous.
english translation
स॒ख्ये त॑ इन्द्र वा॒जिनो॒ मा भे॑म शवसस्पते । त्वाम॒भि प्र णो॑नुमो॒ जेता॑र॒मप॑राजितम् ॥ सख्ये त इन्द्र वाजिनो मा भेम शवसस्पते । त्वामभि प्र णोनुमो जेतारमपराजितम् ॥
Supported by your friendship, Indra, cherisher of strength, we have no fear, but glorify you, the conqueror, the unconquered.
english translation
पू॒र्वीरिन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयो॒ न वि द॑स्यन्त्यू॒तय॑: । यदी॒ वाज॑स्य॒ गोम॑तः स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ मंह॑ते म॒घम् ॥ पूर्वीरिन्द्रस्य रातयो न वि दस्यन्त्यूतयः । यदी वाजस्य गोमतः स्तोतृभ्यो मंहते मघम् ॥
The ancient liberalities of Indra, his protections, will not be wanting to him who presents to the reciters of the hymns, wealth of food and cattle.
english translation
पु॒रां भि॒न्दुर्युवा॑ क॒विरमि॑तौजा अजायत । इन्द्रो॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ कर्म॑णो ध॒र्ता व॒ज्री पु॑रुष्टु॒तः ॥ पुरां भिन्दुर्युवा कविरमितौजा अजायत । इन्द्रो विश्वस्य कर्मणो धर्ता वज्री पुरुष्टुतः ॥
Indra was born the destroyer of cities, ever young, ever wise, of unbounded strength, the sustainer of all pious acts, the wielder of the thunderbolt, the many-praised.
english translation
त्वं व॒लस्य॒ गोम॒तोऽपा॑वरद्रिवो॒ बिल॑म् । त्वां दे॒वा अबि॑भ्युषस्तु॒ज्यमा॑नास आविषुः ॥ त्वं वलस्य गोमतोऽपावरद्रिवो बिलम् । त्वां देवा अबिभ्युषस्तुज्यमानास आविषुः ॥
Your, wielder of the thunderbolt, did open the cave of Vala, who had there concealed the cattle; and the gods whom he had oppressed, no longer feared when they had obtained you (for their ally).
