सु॒प॒र्णा ए॒त आ॑सते॒ मध्य॑ आ॒रोध॑ने दि॒वः । ते से॑धन्ति प॒थो वृकं॒ तर॑न्तं य॒ह्वती॑र॒पो वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी ॥ सुपर्णा एत आसते मध्य आरोधने दिवः । ते सेधन्ति पथो वृकं तरन्तं यह्वतीरपो वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥

sanskrit

The rays of the sun abide in the surrounding centre of heaven; they drive back the wolf crossing the great waters from the path. Heaven and earth, be conscious of this (my affliction).

english translation

su॒pa॒rNA e॒ta A॑sate॒ madhya॑ A॒rodha॑ne di॒vaH | te se॑dhanti pa॒tho vRkaM॒ tara॑ntaM ya॒hvatI॑ra॒po vi॒ttaM me॑ a॒sya ro॑dasI || suparNA eta Asate madhya Arodhane divaH | te sedhanti patho vRkaM tarantaM yahvatIrapo vittaM me asya rodasI ||

नव्यं॒ तदु॒क्थ्यं॑ हि॒तं देवा॑सः सुप्रवाच॒नम् । ऋ॒तम॑र्षन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वः स॒त्यं ता॑तान॒ सूर्यो॑ वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी ॥ नव्यं तदुक्थ्यं हितं देवासः सुप्रवाचनम् । ऋतमर्षन्ति सिन्धवः सत्यं तातान सूर्यो वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥

sanskrit

That new praiseworthy and commended (vigour) is seated in you, ye Gods, (by which) the rivers urge on the waters, and the sun diffuses his constant (light). Heaven and earth, be conscious of this (my affliction).

english translation

navyaM॒ tadu॒kthyaM॑ hi॒taM devA॑saH supravAca॒nam | R॒tama॑rSanti॒ sindha॑vaH sa॒tyaM tA॑tAna॒ sUryo॑ vi॒ttaM me॑ a॒sya ro॑dasI || navyaM tadukthyaM hitaM devAsaH supravAcanam | RtamarSanti sindhavaH satyaM tAtAna sUryo vittaM me asya rodasI ||

अग्ने॒ तव॒ त्यदु॒क्थ्यं॑ दे॒वेष्व॒स्त्याप्य॑म् । स न॑: स॒त्तो म॑नु॒ष्वदा दे॒वान्य॑क्षि वि॒दुष्ट॑रो वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी ॥ अग्ने तव त्यदुक्थ्यं देवेष्वस्त्याप्यम् । स नः सत्तो मनुष्वदा देवान्यक्षि विदुष्टरो वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥

स॒त्तो होता॑ मनु॒ष्वदा दे॒वाँ अच्छा॑ वि॒दुष्ट॑रः । अ॒ग्निर्ह॒व्या सु॑षूदति दे॒वो दे॒वेषु॒ मेधि॑रो वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी ॥ सत्तो होता मनुष्वदा देवाँ अच्छा विदुष्टरः । अग्निर्हव्या सुषूदति देवो देवेषु मेधिरो वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥

May that wise and liberal Agni, a sage amongst the gods, seated at our rite, as at the sacrifice of Manu, be the invoker of the deities, and offer them oblations. Heaven and earth, be conscious of this (my affliction).

sa॒tto hotA॑ manu॒SvadA de॒vA~ acchA॑ vi॒duSTa॑raH | a॒gnirha॒vyA su॑SUdati de॒vo de॒veSu॒ medhi॑ro vi॒ttaM me॑ a॒sya ro॑dasI || satto hotA manuSvadA devA~ acchA viduSTaraH | agnirhavyA suSUdati devo deveSu medhiro vittaM me asya rodasI ||

ब्रह्मा॑ कृणोति॒ वरु॑णो गातु॒विदं॒ तमी॑महे । व्यू॑र्णोति हृ॒दा म॒तिं नव्यो॑ जायतामृ॒तं वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी ॥ ब्रह्मा कृणोति वरुणो गातुविदं तमीमहे । व्यूर्णोति हृदा मतिं नव्यो जायतामृतं वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥

sanskrit

Varuṇa performs the rite of preservation; we desire him as guide of our way; (to him, the repeater of praise) addresses praise with his (whole) heart; may he who is entitled to laudation become our true (support). Heaven and earth, be conscious of this (my affliction).
