भवान्नारायणो देवश्चतुर्बाहुः सनातनः । राक्षसान्हन्तुमुत्पन्नो ह्यजेयः प्रभुरव्ययः ॥ 7-8-26 ॥
You are the god Narayana, four-armed and eternal, born forth to slay the Rakshasas, the unconquerable, the imperishable Lord.
english translation
नष्टधर्मव्यवस्थाता काले काले प्रजाकरः । उत्पद्यते दस्युवधे शरणागतवत्सलः ॥ 7-8-27 ॥
Restorer of the order of dharma when it has perished, benefactor of creatures from age to age, fond of those who seek refuge, He takes birth for the destruction of the wicked.
english translation
एषा मया तव नराधिप राक्षसानामुत्पत्तिरद्य कथिता सकला यथावत् । भूयो निबोध रघुसत्तम रावणस्य जन्मप्रभावमतुलं ससुतस्य सर्वम् ॥ 7-8-28 ॥
O ruler of men, this entire origin of the Rakshasas has now been told by me to you faithfully, just as it was; hear further, O best of the Raghus, all about the unequaled power and birth of Ravana together with his sons.
english translation
चिरात्सुमाली व्यचरद्रसातलं स राक्षसो विष्णुभयार्दितस्तदा । पुत्रैश्च पौत्रैश्च समन्वितो बली ततस्तु लङ्कामवसद्धनेश्वरः ॥ 7-8-29 ॥
For a long time that Rakshasa Sumali, tormented by fear of Vishnu, wandered in the netherworld of Rasatala; then the mighty lord of wealth (Kubera), accompanied by his sons and grandsons, came to dwell in Lanka.
