शङ्खराजरवश्चापि शार्ङ्गचापरस्वस्तथा । राक्षसानां रवांश्चापि ग्रसते वैष्णवो रवः ॥ 7-7-16 ॥
The roar of the king of conches, and likewise the twang of the Sharnga bow, and also the cries of the Rakshasas, all of these the sound of Vishnu swallowed up.
english translation
तेषां शिरोधरान्धूताञ्छरध्वजधनूंषि च । रथान्पताकास्तूणीरांश्चिच्छेद स हरिः शरैः ॥ 7-7-17 ॥
With his arrows that Hari severed their shaken necks together with their arrows, banners, and bows, and their chariots, flags, and quivers.
english translation
सूर्यादिव करा घोरा ऊर्मयः सागरादिव । पर्वतादिव नागेन्द्रा धारौघा इव चाम्बुदात् ॥ 7-7-18 ॥
As terrible rays issue from the sun, as waves from the ocean, as great serpents from a mountain, and as torrents of rain from a cloud,
english translation
तथा शार्ङ्गविनिर्मुक्ताः शरा नारायणेरिताः । निर्धावन्तीषवस्तूर्णं शतशोथ सहस्रशः ॥ 7-7-19 ॥
so the arrows loosed from the Sharnga bow, discharged by Narayana, those shafts sped swiftly forth by the hundreds and by the thousands.

शरभेण यथा सिंहाः सिंहेन द्विरदा यथा । द्विरदेन यथा व्याघ्रा व्याघ्रेण द्वीपिनो यथा ॥ 7-7-20 ॥
As lions flee before a sharabha, and elephants before a lion, as tigers flee before an elephant, and leopards before a tiger,
