तमुवाच सहस्राक्षो लवणो नाम राक्षसः । मधुपुत्रो मधुवने न ते ऽ ऽज्ञां कुरुते ऽनघ ॥ 7-67-13 ॥
"The thousand-eyed god said to him: 'A rakshasa named Lavana, the son of Madhu, dwelling in the Madhu forest, does not carry out your command, O sinless one.'"
