Ramayana
ततः सङ्गाद्गता धेनुः सवत्सा स्पर्शिता ऽनघ । ब्राह्मणस्याहिताग्नेश्च दरिद्रस्योञ्छवर्तिनः ॥ 7-53-9 ॥
Then, O sinless one, a cow with her calf strayed away from the herd and was given to a poor brahmin who maintained the sacred fires and lived by gleaning grains.
