यदर्थं मैथिली त्यक्ता अपवादभयान्नृप । सो ऽपवादः पुरे राजन्भविष्यति न संशयः ॥ 7-52-15 ॥
"The slander on whose account Maithili was forsaken out of fear of ill-repute, O king — that slander will arise in the city, there is no doubt of it."
