यथापवादं पौराणां तथैव रघुनन्दन । पतिर्हि देवता नार्याः पतिर्बन्धुः पतिर्गुरुः ॥ 7-48-17 ॥
Just as the slander of the citizens demands, so let it be, O delight of the Raghus; for the husband is a woman's deity, the husband is her kinsman, the husband is her preceptor.
