मरुद्रोधाद्विनिर्मुक्तास्ताः प्रजा मुदिता ऽभवन् । शीतदाहविनिर्मुक्ताः पद्मिन्य इव साम्बुजाः ॥ 7-36-6 ॥
Released from the obstruction of the Wind, all those creatures became glad, freed from cold and burning heat, like lotus-ponds together with their lotuses.
english translation
ततस्त्रियुग्मस्त्रिककुत्ऺित्रधामा त्रिदशार्चितः । उवाच देवता ब्रह्मा मारुतप्रियकाम्यया ॥ 7-36-7 ॥
Then Brahma, the deity worshipped by the gods, who is threefold in his pairings, has three peaks, and dwells in three abodes, spoke out of his wish to please the Wind-god.
english translation
भो महेन्द्रेशवरुणप्रजेश्वरधनेश्वराः । जानतामपि वः सर्वं वक्ष्यामि श्रूयतां हितम् ॥ 7-36-8 ॥
O Mahendra, Isha (Shiva), Varuna, Lord of creatures (Prajapati), and Lord of wealth (Kubera), listen: though you all know everything, I shall declare what is beneficial; let it be heard.
english translation
अनेन शिशुना कार्यं कर्तव्यं वो भविष्यति । तद्वदध्वं वरान्सर्वे मारुतस्यास्य तुष्टये ॥ 7-36-9 ॥
There will be a task to be accomplished by all of you through this infant; therefore, all of you, for the satisfaction of this son of the Wind, declare your boons.
english translation
ततः सहस्रनयनः प्रीतियुक्तः शुभाननः । कुशेशयमयीं मालामुत्क्षिप्येदं वचो ऽब्रवीत् ॥ 7-36-10 ॥
Then the thousand-eyed one (Indra), filled with affection and bearing an auspicious face, lifting up a garland made of lotuses, spoke these words.
